Nothing new here,,,,Churchill said nearly the exact same thing, when looking for investments in a war torn and heavily destroyed England.
Last time I checked, the "Marshal Plan" rebuilt all of Europe after WWII, which in turn fueled the economic engine of the USA for nearly 40 years.
When your country, or countries have little manufacturing capability remaining standing after a major war, outside investments, banks, and everyone else looking to make money floods into these areas with capital.
Of course, ya can leave the war torn areas destroyed, not invest in them at all, but if money is not moving, exchanging hands, stuff ain't being built, then not much of anything happens here at home, no new jobs, factories, people are out of work, crime goes up, etc.
Don't ever allow yourself to confuse politics, with business!

Whats funny, members of the ultimate predator class known through out the whole history of the world, who also claim to own firearms, also claim not to be predisposed to being apex predators and run around demanding peace, within a species thats never known peace, except for brief periods of time while they fornicate like rabbits to produce the next group of war age males.

F*CK the Z-man!- I feel for the Ukrainian people as I would feel for the citizens of Vicksburg or those Georgians in the path of Sherman... That doesnt mean I support them or their government, a secessionist regime which has grabbed off a section of Russia that has been an important part of the HEART of Russia in many ways- Kievan Rus, from which Russia derives it's name. An integral part of RUSSIA since it's founding circa 900AD, and certainly since the time of Bogdan Khemelnitski @ 1650, when Ukraine asked Tsar Michael Romanov to include Ukraine into the growing Russian empire. Ukraine seceded from Russia after the collapse of the USSR, when Russia was on it's back with an alcoholic Boris Yeltsin allowing it to happen- basically unable to do anything about it anyway. Ukraine has been part of Russia economically, militarily, socially, politically, and spiritually for longer than our beloved country has been a country.

You're one of them. Please explain to me again how Russia, who can barely take the eastern edge of Ukraine with conventional forces in a year, must be stopped before they conquer Eastern Europe. I don't think there are any good guys in the leadership of this conflict....
They are pissed off and upset at "things" they got no control or sway over, and anyone that does not fit their narrow little narrative, then becomes the target of this insane hatred in all matters and circumstances since they can't do shit about whats got them riled up in the first place.

I am all for your war. But please leave me and mine out of it. If ukraine is so important strap on your war goods and have at it. We (as in The Untied States) are under no threat to any of the happenings in ukraine, except maybe our pols who have been scrubbing our money there before they steal it. One can only warn you of the consequences of your actions before they deliver as promised in their warning. I am glad you stand with ukraine, now pony up!
