I've had 61 years on this planet. By now I have learned a couple of absolute, incontrovertible truths, and that even speaking these truths makes deniers uncomfortable, but that does not make it not so.
Blacks and whites? We're simply NOT the same. Blacks are totally different from whites. I will stop short of saying they are inferior. One might imagine that had we simply left them in Africa, their intellect might have been perfectly suited to those pursuits in that environment.

It's not a racial thing I think as much as a societal and generational thing. There's plenty of trailer trash whites that act just like this. We are bringing up an entire generation of sociopaths that truly do not give a shit about anyone else but themselves. Why are we doing this? Because their parents are also a bunch of entitled assholes. See it on the ambulance every day. The 90 year olds are markedly different than the 60 year olds, who are also very different than the 30 year olds. Love me some 90 y/o folks, but a lot of their kids were spoiled rotten and it's been trending steeply downhill ever since.

Gonna miss those truly old folks when they are gone. I might hang up my spurs when I don't get to help many of the really old ones any more; it's an honor to know most of those people. They truly do exhibit a style and panache that is sorely lacking in the later generations.

Michigan plate. We are a "no fault" state. Not sure how it works when you hit an emergency vehicle or an emergency vehicle hits you.

Out here the rule is even with lights and sirens we slow down and visually clear the intersection before passing through against the signal. Not required to come to a complete stop but if we hit someone or another vehicle we are liable for it because we are the one going against the signal. As far as I know (ie, according to training) that applies to the pros as well as the volunteers (like me). It's going to vary by state, like everything else does. Training vids usually wind up with interviewing an ambulance driver now serving time for deaths caused by an accident while on the job.

On the flip side of that, a friend's son is a cop over in AZ, near Yellowhand & company. Friend was telling me how his son got so pissed off at BP units speeding (like crazy speeding) with no lights & sirens that he would pull them over and cite them That may only have happened a couple times before he gave up on it

Honestly, this strikes me more as a city thing than anything else. Like anything feral, they come in all breeds, and the behavior is a matter of environment and upbringing more than race.

Any time I get tempted to generalize, I don't get very far before remembering Thomas Sowell, a very intelligent man and a fantastic writer who grew up admiring Malcolm X but was smart enough to see the error of those ways by observing the cause and effect nature of reality. Just this morning I read the beginning of an article this morning about a former BLM member talking about how the BLM leadership is just selling dependency and cashing in on dues, book deals, and the like.

Here in MI, I think that must be a requirement to be an LEO - drive fast with no lights or siren. Our state law says that if they are exceeding the speed limit or disregarding traffic control signals, they must use either an audible or visual warning. I have followed a few, and only one (a state boy) pulled me over - after dropping behind me. I asked him about the law and why he was speeding. He manned up and admitted he shouldn't have been.

All the attacks on 'white culture' and claims of 'white supremacy' and 'systematic racism' are attempts to deflect from the fact that a significant portion of black folks, who live in the dysfunctional 'black culture' cannot assimilate into a civilization that is past the hunter/gatherer level.

Instead of demanding accountability and civility, and holding people to simple standards and rules for a society, they attack that society as racist.

'black culture' in America did not used to be this way. I wasn't there but it seems like middle to late 60's it went downhill.
