Stupid redneck that got punked driving a $70K chebbie truck. Leaving a light in town out to the open highway he tried to cut me off as I came around him from the right trying to get in front to get the other car moving get down the road. Hit the signal and could tell he was going to cut me off. Car cleared and bounced up to 90 or so to clear out. Here he comes after moving to the right lane and pulls in front and brake checks me. Go by again on the left minding my business running about 80 in a 65. He took it as some redneck shit. He wasn't so bold once he turned behind me in the same hood. it's typical all my life when driving a vette.

I don't understand why people do stupid shit like that.
I'm glad it worked out for you and everyone went home.

Motivated by reinstalling the Cherokee interior, today I celebrated socialist labor union victories by having a guy peel the junk rubber from some old aluminum factory jeep wheels. Dude was fast, charged me $40 and I'll take the tires to the dump so no disposal fee. Ironically, while he handled the wheels that I hauled in with my Cherokee, I noticed back tire was near flat. Heck, I'll plug it at home myself.

Nope. Rotten valve stem. Back to the shop.

Being the do it yourselfer that you are I am very surprised that you didn’t change the valve stem yourself.

Changing is easy. Getting to it without a tire machine is a pain in the taint. Hand the man $25 and get on with your day.
I had a tire machine for a year or so I bought at an auction. The bulk of my tire work however was on dirt bikes which were easier to do on my welding table with a hole drilled in the center and a piece of all-thread to bolt it down. The tire machine took up space and went on to greener pastures.

I put a pedal commander on the Camry - two plugs and a lot of contortions and cussing. Still have to do the bluetooth link-up and expect it to throw a CEL as the fucking computer goes on if you do something like hit the brake pedal, which is all but impossible not to do when you're crawling over it.

One of the Cherokees has a blown brake booster. I dont think my body bends that way anymore. But the boy is taking automotive repair at school so he'll take it in for a class project. HS kids are bendy.

Well, it didn't fuck anything up and it seems peppier with no dead feel and I am on a more conservative program and not the sport or sport plus mode. FWIW, Banks makes one that seems a lot better thought out for the same money but it takes up your OBD II port (but you can buy a splitter).

A few years ago I loaned a relative my generator when they lost power.
I assumed that they knew about running the line dry with the shut off valve after they were done with it.
Fooled me!
Replaced the carburetor today.
The old one smelled like stale paint thinner.
Runs like new now. :)

Can smell your truck from here, had an old 1962 Chevy one ton dually when I landed here that smelled that age.

Walking thru the park and reminiscing.

No, I'm the one in the black fur. I'm 21 in dog years.

Australian Shepard? If so, looks like my Zeke.~ss
Yes, he's an Australianshepherd. Markings are spot on for a Burmese mountain dog. The wife cuts his hair in the summer and he gets embarrassed about it. The inlaws breed Aussies, so we always seem to have at least one. Other than being clingy they are good dogs.

my son made a little progress on his tracked minibike, including 3D printed drive wheel and swing arms. Next step is to start cutting the frame and re-welding in a slightly new form.

Finally got to run his 1962 Rupp at the Fremont Ohio track for the 25 anniversary of the REAR club. Saw some pretty neat go-karts there and really old men (and women) re-living their teens.

There were several guys in their 80's zipping around the track, sliding their karts around. It literally took them twice as long to get in and out of their karts as it did to make a lap around the track! One guy we talked to started racing in 1958. Another guy was 87 years old...and he was still fast! Good living!
