American Aero Services restoration of a two seat P51C in the colors of "Stars Look Down", which was the aircraft that was used to fly Ike over the D Day landings in Normandy.
There were no factory built two seat P51Bs or Cs, but some were converted in the field to serve in utility roles. Generally converted from "war weary" planes or other planes pulled from combat duty as newer replacements were received.
PBY-5A under resto at American Aero. The Cat was ferried in from the Netherlands a couple of years ago, basically in great shape but had a passenger interior and the more common "clipper" nose replacing the original. AAS has recreated the correct nose with turret, recreated all the military exterior including the rare radar antennas on the sides of the hull, and is replacing the military interior. The second shot shows another Cat still with the post war clipper nose - you can see what a serious project recreating the correct nose, turret, and bombardier station was. I hope to get pictures of the finished Cat this January.
