Just personal preference compadre, have been wrangling metric FALS since before I could walk, so more familiar and comfortable with the original FN than anything else thats a licensed variant.

A Britt L1A1 with wood furniture is probably the most elegant and beautiful version of an FAL ever built.

That Commiefornia water has been eating on your brain amigo 😦

I happen to agree with NFADLR. The inch guns just look off for some reason to me, although they do look a lot better with wood.

Except for that short gas one LaConservasionist showed off in pics here of a few years back. Pretty sure that was an inch if my shitty memory serves me right.

I just LOVED how that looked

I don’t have any ugly FALs however, I do have one that meets the description of whatever parts on hand kind of gun. I call it Flipper. I originally built this in 2007 on one of those notworthaf@ckpeeseofshitnomatterwhatcenturyreceiversthatwerewarpedeverywhichway that I recently sent to Sledgehammer for correction on a DSA t3. Injuh lower, Australian PG, Injuh over sanded by someone else BS w/ Injuh BP, Imbel sling swivel inlet into BS, metric selector from somewhere with the rhomboid notch opened to a rectangle to work in the Injuh lower with Century hts, Imbel top cover, Aussie charge handle extended paddle welded on and, why it’s called Flipper, serrated by brother Slow, Aussie barrel cut to 19” cast of by someone here that was tat treaded R/H with DSA combo device and Enfield gas plug, Century gas piston, Izzy rear sight, Aussie junker laminate HG’s that I stripped and, re-laminated with mahogany cabinet lam, Enfield bolt carrier with a BSA bolt. I might be missing something, lol. Oh yeah, Stg carry handle wire with a home turned walnut handle from someone on the Falfiles that didn’t like it cause, it cracked. I glued the shit out of said crack and, hoozah. I ain’t kiddin neither.

L2's look goofy as fuck to me, especially with the toilet plunger brake. FALOs are gorgeous, and I like the lines of the SLR. BGS G1's look sleek, as do BW G1s without the muzzle device.

That having been said, some of the shit-looking accessories DSA's put out are godawful.

Less talk, more photos of janky FALs!

I would contribute, but I'm going to blast and parkerize my trashcan FAL prior to applying some rattlecan camo, so it remains in parts until then.
