Just ordered one from Apex as I had to get few other things. Will post a picture when it gets here to see how it compares to the centerfire ones. I'd imagine they all came from the same source though.

Bayonet and refinished adaptor, both from Apex, came today. I’m pleased. I’m still waiting on the screw and safety washer from RTG.

Edit:
Looking closer at the bayonet it appears that the barrel ring cants rearwards slightly. I’m not sure if it is bent or manufactured that way. I dug out my PTR 91 and tried to fit the bayonet over the barrel. First, the ring doesn’t fit over the flash hider easily and I didn’t force it. This may be because the bayonet’s barrel ring is canted. Second, the cant of the bayonet barrel ring makes the handle of the bayonet touch the barrel. See the attached photo. This is a newer PTR 91 with the US threaded flash hider. I’m hoping the barrel ring on the bayonet is bent and it can be returned to Apex for one that fits correctly.

Your flash hider may be slightly bigger than a German one?

Maybe, I’m not sure as I don’t have an HK to compare it with. It’s one of the newer ones that they are using on the PTR 91s. Mine is the PTR GI version that is threaded 5/8x24.

Aw man, I'm hoping I don't have the same issue with mine now. I have the same factory flashider. I got a surplus one from Clearview but it's a different thread pitch then what ptr uses so I couldn't use it.

Just took some measurements with a pair of calipers. Measured the od of both flashiders.
Ptr- .896"
Original- .887"
So yea the ptr is slightly bigger.
We'll see how mine fits tomorrow.

Mine just arrived in the mail, I'll head to the workshop shortly and check out if it fits.
Any idea what country these came from, or what country they were made in??
Usually if something were made in West Germany it would be stamped somewhere on there.
Thanks for the heads up guys!!

Tried it real quick, it would not easily fit over the flash hider ( it's a PTR91 GI). I'll mess with it some more tomorrow, worst case a quick trip with a file inside the muzzle ring should fix that right up

Mine showed up today. Doesnt look to have seen much use id imagine it's spent most of its life in its sheath. Covered in cosmoline but even some fine rust and some pitting as well. Some very fine steel wool should take care of any of the little rust spots.
Overall I'm happy with it. Will check fitment tonight, hoping for the best and it slides right on but sounds unlikely. Then clean it up.

I just emailed ptr to see what thread pitch mine is. I bought it second hand so I don't actually know for sure if it's 5/8x24 or 15x1 as I don't know when it was built and when the switch was.
I'd assumed it was 5/8 but if it is 15x1 then I can use the orginal one I have which would be nice.

If it’s worth anything mine slips over the 7.62 A2 birdcage flash hider I have on my PTR. The FH that came on the PTR is a little tight.
