Tina definitely had it going on like no other. She was, and will remain a one-off. Thanks Aunti for the good times and the memories.Got dam I loved her
It's worth watching if only because is so freaking bizarre. If it weren't for Thunderdome, never would have really known her except nostalgia shit from the era. Never watched Tommy though am a Who fan
She did, and it was more than that with her. The abuse she took from Ike (not to mention the rest of the record industry) was unspeakable. But she prevailed to beat 'em all, just by keeping her eye on the ball and focusing on what she was good at. And being merciless in victory to those who didn't deserve any. Knew who her friends were and more importantly, who they weren't. There's a lesson in there. She entertained million for a bunch of decades, a great talent. May she Rest In Peace.
...and the first ugliest being?Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits wrote that song Private Dancer, which Tina Turner sang and made a hit. Somehow Jeff Beck ended up playing the guitar solo on that song, and Mark Knopfler said that was the 2nd ugliest guitar solo ever recorded. That's just some trivia.
