At this point they were a Start Up RR, and picked up whatever used locomotives they could. Got good use out of the Alcos, a couple of years later bought some nice new MLW M420's

They did have some cool styling but still weren't practical as a road switcher (at least for the ground crew). They did evolve to become the GP-7 and history was made.
