12.5MPG that is about the same as my 2006 F350 6.0L.
I get about 18-19 mpg out of our 2007 F350 with the 6.0 diesel.

EDIT. Just went out to see if the truck would tell me what mileage it is getting so I could take a picture, and nope, no display for that. But my son in law had figured out the mileage, and he's pretty sharp.

I always wanted a bobbed deuce, but I have memories of driving those things and they're not happy ones.

Drove one from Gulfport, Ms., our unit home base, all up and down the East and West coast for several years. Looked like this and included a trailer with two Onan generators in tow. We didn't have the fancy super singles, flats sucked balls.

Lots of them for sale.
That's exactly what I drove on an almost daily basis! Brings back a lot of memories... 🤔 They'll go damn near anywhere, but just wait'll you get it stuck...

Did you do something to it to get that kind of mileage? Mine is an 06 F350 6.0 long bed 4 door 4x4.

My truck is bone stock and basically still new. 92K on the odometer and a little over 2000 hours on the engine.

I don't drive it much as it bleeds me out every time I have to fill it up. I would love to get your kind of MPG.

Wow! My '06 E-350 van gets around 11 MPG with the 6.0

12 MPG is amazing as my 71 F250 hi boy only got about 8 and my 76 hi boy probly got maybe 10
My '77.5 F-250 'Lo Boy' would get 15-16 MPG on the highway at 60 MPH, if I took it 75+ MPH I could watch the gauge drop!

It checked all the boxes:
Under $10k
4WD
Good parts availability
No onboard computers
Cheap insurance ($200 a year)
Deer resistant
Manual transmission
Nice. I'm jealous as I need one down here. It is THE vehicle for driving on the excuse the gummit calls "roads" here in the Greater Noo'Awlins Area.

$200/YEAR insurance????? Where do you live; on the Moon???

Also, I read somewhere that the 6x6 has the same turning radius as a Ford F-250, IIRC.

It turns surprisingly tight and it fit in 1 parking spot at Safeway. Insurance here in Nebraska, I wound up with a safe driver discount at $144 a year.

Well, insurance must be cheep because nothing is going to hurt it.....and if you hit someone else they are all going to be crushed to death, so no survivors for lawsuits......makes sense.

That includes the heavy vehicle emergency roadside assistance

Congratulation on the new rig. I wouldn't worry about the old man. It's just a vehicle, if you get tired of it you can just sell it on down the line.
It's nowhere near as foolish as owning an old British sportscar with Lucas electronics. Lol

I've been looking for a 5 ton, not too seriously to turn into a plow truck. We get really bad drifts most winters.
