I was expecting a $0.89 joke but not from the source.
How is I will give your money back a " fuck you " attitude?
Mountains out of mole hills, just never do business with the guy again.
" He also mentioned that you got a good deal, you can return it and get a refund if your not happy. " after my 35 years in the service and equipment rental business i know a "fuck you attitude" when i see it.

I have tipped beer girls at Baby Dolls more than $12.89

Cheap is cheap.
As you have proclaimed, your values have a price. Which just this morning was $12.89. Now, apparently, it isn't. But consistency in thought has never been your forte'.

Mine do not. Not $12. Not $0.89, not $0.01. Because it is integrity - you either have it or you don't. There is no dollar amount assigned to it. At least not by men who value the concept. Which apparently you do not.

Reminds me, of when I was working as a rent-a-cop for BofA Corporate in Irvine. Ho hum, but it was a graveyard shift where I could sit on my ass and do my homework, and get paid.

Talking to one of the execs there - he'd just fired his star performer. Made the company millions. Caught him stealing toilet paper out of the supply locker and loading it in trunk of his (high end foreign car - Audi, Mercedes, ?).

If you'd steal toilet paper, what wouldn'tg you steal?

Shit. I grew up 20 mi east of Youngstown OH out in the good not-Italian country where family names earned land grants from Rev War. But was close enough to the Italio-Polack wellhead that $10 would knock off a family plus a good deal on an IROK.

I suspect price of murder in Youngstown is measured by the contents of a bent spoon. The price of gas keeps the shitbirds from wandering to the free t people.

Is getting paid to be a diligent security guard not being "diligent", but still taking the paycheck for those hours somehow different?

My job was, to check 6 doors once an hour on 3 floors of an empty building to insure they were still locked. And to check the battery backup room once an hour to make sure it had not caught fire. This reduced the building's insurance by more than my $5.65/hr. Oh, and to unlock the front door to key cards at 0600. So for 45 minutes an hour, I could do whatever I wanted. As long as I was "there".

I was clear with the security company that my goal was to find a job where I could sit on my ass and do my homework and get paid. They offered me this one. I only quit when I got my teaching credentials and could teach during the day and pursue my Master's degree at night.

But nice try, loser.

For the record, and because this thread took a turn, I think GP is likely a better man than many around here. Still, around 1999 he was being an ass and I promised I'd never give him a nickel. He replied that I couldn't afford him. We were both right. He can be an arrogant ass and I can't afford his exemplary work.

Thanks guys. I am in the boat of a deal is a deal and if you goof up, which happens, you should make it right.
Yeah the issue here is not what should you do, but what the seller should have done right from the start. I imagine that if 4 out of 5 buyers let this dude slide, he’s justified in his mind to just keep fucking people. So in my mind, you are justified in whatever you need to do to have satisfaction.

Why hasn't this thieving corksoaker been outed yet?!? I got my torch, pitchfork, and a solid little buzz rollin', so let's burn this MF'r all the way DOWN!!!
I don't know, unless it's some sort of fear based reluctance? I actually eyeballed OP's recent posts and he seems to be the only one in a recent deal with bulk quantity items (Garand clips), but HE'S the SELLER! So I don't know, but you can bet it not a "hypothetical", and I want to know who's waiting in the grass to screw me, because somebody didn't have the sack to offend a thief of a seller...

Your call. I received some brass earlier in the week, said it was sized through a SB die, swaged and trimmed. Opened it up and started checking with a case gauge. It may be somewhat sized but the shoulder is from .003 to .010 over the go limit on 95%. Does appear to be trimmed and swaged. I'm going to let it slide as most people don't really understand the process hence the constant new threads about head space that get started here. After shipping and the ammo can deducted it comes to about 7.7 cents per piece for 223 mixed. I knew when I ordered it I was taking a chance.

And yet the great BoA toilet paper theft occurred during your tenure as security guard. So apparently, you were not very diligent. At least you got that paycheck.

I was thinking it was one of those people selling bulk brass.

Well, it’s not limited to the OP, I’ve seen this bullshit on many forums like this one. One member gets screwed over by another, and they want to climb on their damn soapbox and whine about it, fishing for sympathy, but fuck protecting the rest of the forum membership, because they’d somehow rather protect the thief?

Hell man, there's 24 hours in the day. Security like GP described usually is working the slowest 8 of those. Kinda dickish to assume that the $6.65/hour graveyard guard would have caught the BofA hot TP operation! :D

I keep asking these questions and get bullshit answers - do you have a newsletter or manifesto?
My manifesto will simply be a collage of my favorite highly polarizing and wholly inappropriate memes. You can get newsletter-like glimpses often in the Meme Thread. You can even play along at home and try to assemble your own version of how you think I’m assembling my Final Act!
