Of course as soon as I received it I had to pull the grips off. These are pictures of the back side of the grips. I thought it was kind of cool the original owner had his name on a piece of tape on the back of the grip . That will stay there . 20230602_172740.jpg Thanks to Hop Devil for a great purchase. For some reason the picture of the other grip didn't come through. But it just had a wheel with an arrow and a three. I'm not taking the grips back off to get another picture unless absolutely necessary they don't look like they're the most durable item in the world

Well, the grips are dated which, if original to the pistol (probable), will give you some idea. We need a good quality picture of the grip markings.

In your first picture is a number and the soldier's name. Under "217" is the date code. It should match the date code on the other grip. The grips are bakelite and are plenty durable if you don't gorilla them. A picture of the slide release and serial number would help too.

Ah yes the price you pay for a high hold on a p-49. As I told HopDevil, 20230607_101726.jpg every Hammer bite is like a kiss from an angel when you're shooting a p49/210-2
