The fact that it was not a perma ban indicates it wasn't a major transgression. That said, do you know what it was? If not ask a mod to tell you. If you do know what it was don't do it again and move on. At least we are allowed free speech on here... unlike so many other sites where simply expressing a conservative viewpoint gets you banned.

That's just it: I DID ask...repeatedly. I never received a clear answer I could understand. And then asking became too much and the ban hammer dropped. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if this post were to trigger a thermonuclear response. If that happens, please refer to post #1 in this thread.

I feel like I must now walk on eggshells. And from that perspective, what's the practical difference between having to do that and the limitations on what I can say on other gun forums? My freedom of speech is on radical life support.

My only problem now is how do I get off the contributor list? There's no point in paying to live under the ban hammer of Damocles.

Wait for it to expire, probably.

Ah hell,,,,I enjoy your postings, just forget this shit and move on, if ya get busted again, hell wear it like a badge of honor!(y)

I got banned off a forum before finding this one, for calling out an antisemitic piece of shit,,,who happened to also be the manager of the forum. :ROFLMAO:

Then there was the club in Thailand,,,,,,that one cost me 6 sutures in my head,,,,

Was invited to leave and never return to the NCO club at Bragg once,,,,,they got the fire put out pretty quickly, no real damage to the drapes.

Then there was that time in the French garrison club,,,,,,where some fool stood up and began yelling about cooking up a big old batch of frog legs,,,,and slathering them in Texas Pete hot sauce,,,,,,was invited to the door on that one as well.
But, they let me back in a couple days later,,,,,,,after one of their grunts did the stupid with a loaded 45 on his own thigh,,and needed tending:)LOL

Blow it off,,,,ain't worth a seconds thought..................

Actually, Tac40 explained it very well in the PMs after the warning. He (nor anyone else) can understand it for you.

You add value here and you enjoy it here. Move past it and hang around, or not. That part is on you my friend.

Actually, much closer to Fracture Mechanics than Vectors. FM includes vectors in determining fracture directions and growth.

This is the creepy shit AI is good at creating.
AI does concern me,,,seems to concern a lot of folks in the advance computer fields as well.

Humanoid looking robots are creepy now, knowing they are being programed by nerds, couple them with advance AI "brains", they just become scary, stuff of old movie plots and nightmares of science fiction writers.

Today we be the boot,,,tomorrow, we may become the ant!

Dude, I been binging on some recent AI stuff and if you haven't kept up you will be shocked at what's going on. I don't want to post a bunch of links because you don't have to Google very far to find examples. Go look. It will scare you. These things can create a high res movie of anything prompted by a few comments. They get better at it every day. And the art they are making. It' disturbing.

Well "dude" ;) I fully agree with you!
Shocking as that may sound.

I have a friend at the UofA that works in this advance stuff, AI, and he is worried/concerned about it all.

Its not in any of my fields, but I know enough to be disturbed about where it all may be leading.
Not any place good either...

The movie "LOOKER" covered this possibility quite well back in 1981:
