Hello,
I need a gunsmith with knowledge in bending Mauser bolts for a Yugo M48 bold.
I live in CenTex, but I willing to ship in order to get a Good Work Done.
Thanks for any help.
Luis

I've done one. Local friend was insistent and purchased all the tooling from Brownells. Bent, swept, milled the bottom of the ball flat and broke the edges, polished. Custom fit to a stock and optic he'd already picked out. Came out beautiful. Put the tooling and heat stop paste away and never used it again.

Understand, it's really a two person job. One to hold the torch and one to manipulate the handle. Perhaps there are skilled craftsmen out there who do it solo but I would not.

The end result can be a thing of beauty. I'm not sure what I'd charge, IF I could dig up the tooling. Just saying, it's a bigger deal than you may be aware, with heat treat/hardness preservation a very real concern.
