Mornin’ all y’all. I’ve been tuckin’ my Baby in close and cuddly as of late. Changed the grips from the rubber factory gummy’s to mahogany double diamonds from an e-bay vendor that I like more. Rock Island Armory Baby Rock .380 and, coffee cup from my grand kids.

I will never like a round-butt 1911, but I love your mug!
That’s my job now. 🥸 all four of my grandsons call me Gramps but, my one and only princess granddaughter calls me Grampie and, dots the “I” with a heart. 🥰 She’s nine years old and, already has me figured. 🫣 😁

Mug by my little brother made in class in high school. Glaze fell off outside, but is just fine on inside… and I still use it all these years later.

Consecutive serial numbers on S&W ‘N’ frame .41 Mag revolvers.

They ain’t 1911s, but they’re classic all the same in my book.

I had that gun in a 6" barrel and chambered in .45 Colt.

I think I sold it to brother 4x401.

Got a package from N8dogg yesterday with the Stg-58 kit that he built into a complete rifle for me. Most excellent work and can’t wait to shoot it.
Pairs nicely with an FAL coffe cup and some Dictator Gesha from Black Rifle Coffee company. It is $40 a bag, but is the best coffee I have ever tasted. This batch is grown on the side of a volcano in Guatemala with gesha variety beans brought in from Ethiopia. They ran out of last year’s batch 5 or 6 months ago and weren’t sure they’d get more…and to my joy, stopped by today to get our daily coffee and they had the new crop of Gesha in stock.

Edit: To add additional reference material. The link explains the Gesha/Geisha packaging and other background.
Gesha Variety Coffee – Black Rifle Coffee Company
The article quotes the BRCC Q Grader (which is like a sommelier for coffee and has a lower pass rate than the bar exam) who says it is the best gesha coffee available on the market. My daughter works as the US sales rep for an importer of green coffee based in Colombia (and is also a Q grader) and brought me some gesha from another grower and I do think the "roasted peach" tasting notes on the BRCC were more pronounced. Coffee, just like wine, very much depends on the "terroir" (soil, topography, climate) for its distinct flavor notes.

Just an FYI, there is no "U" in Colombia. I lived there for two years and still visit frequently. Heading back there for a bit on a few weeks.

The locals may not say anything to your face, but they really frown when a gringo says Co-LUM-bia rather than Col-LOO-bia.

Fixed it! I suppose they don't want it spelled the same as Christopher's last name...
