Gun Owners Of America Aghast At Potential ATF Expansion

1678937207960.png

“GOA is extremely concerned at the massive surge in ATF funding in recent years—doubling the size of the agency since the end of the Obama administration,” Aidan Johnston, Gun Owners of America’s director of federal affairs, wrote in an email to The Epoch Times. Biden’s budget proposal contains $1.9 billion for the ATF. This is a 13.6 percent increase over 2022 and half a billion dollars more than the agency’s fiscal 2020 budget. If passed as written, Biden’s budget would expand the ATF by 35.7 percent—an overall growth of more than 50 percent since the Obama administration.
BLACK BLADE: The ATF is an agency in search of a mission. It's role is largely redundant since the repeal of prohibition and it's focus is also covered by other Feral Government agencies. An expanded ATF will lead to an expanded trampling of Americans civil, constitutional and human rights.

That’s what the Biden administration wants on their way to disarm the people.

It is part of the war on gun owners.

Democrap party muscle was always the mission. Like the rest of the alphabet agencies. Commies are smart about weaponization at someone else's expense. But, goa is just now figuring this out?

Damn, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford.
🤔
You have to love that line in their letter, "While we recognize that assault weapon legislation will not stop all assault weapon crime, statistics prove that we can dry up the supply of these guns, making them less accessible to criminals." Well they certainly got the dry up and less accessible parts right. Since they passed the 89' import ban, they've all, but dried up, thus causing the prices to rise to the point where semi-auto imports are almost as expensive as FA. Yet the criminals aren't the ones having a problem getting them.

At least with Combloc crap, we know fresh Chinese imports are arriving with the fentanyl and methamphetamine reagents to the cartels in Mexico. With the heat they're packing down there, there just aren't enough gun shows they could've possibly gotten them all. Mexico is a model for how lefties want the US - ordinary citizens have few places to buy guns and very limited choice while criminals have vast amounts of any weapons they want that they use to kill tens of thousands yearly with few consequences. US politicians want criminals to vote for them so they can take bribes whereas Mexican politicians skip that nonsense to receive the bribes they want directly.

What I always used to say in the 1980's was along the lines of "Make guns illegal? Like cocaine, right?"

The liberal morons and other politicians advocating for this shit don't realize that guns are made all over the world and we have extremely porous borders.

There simply seems to be no point to any of this until you understand that they are trying to change culture, by stamping out lawful ownership. It's our bad luck that we elect vermin too selfish and short sighted to care that stamping out lawful gun ownership under the guise of "doing something" will make us all far worse off than we are now.

My personal take is that the BATFE is in competition with other federal agencies as to who's important. Many retired in 20 with 100% pay for life. They eventually changed the percentage though I have heard. I have heard them bragging on whom they have guarded (assist certain Secret Service details ). Some spend their early years getting drunk in hick bars trying to find moonshiners. Do you think they can get DUI's ?, " I think my badge is bigger than yours" .Yes, they still spend your taxes on such stupidity.
Yes they are usually headed by political appointees whom have little or no actual experience but meet the gender/race requirements of the day.

Yeah, there was that too. That wasn't what banned the import of barrells with parts kits. Let's not forget the Hughes Ammendment, that passed about 2 weeks after I got the paperwork back on my class 3. Seems like the harder we vote, the harder we get fucked.

Anybody that believes the Republicans are going to help with anything gun-related is delusional. The politicians on both sides just want more power. Citizens who own guns make it harder to achieve that power. They don't want the public owning effective weapons any more than the Dems do. They are just sneakier and less vocal about it. In some ways, I depsise them even more than the Dems. Most of them are wolves in sheep's clothing. The Dems make no secret of what they want. The Two Party system is just different wings on the same bird that shits on all of us in MANY different ways. Fuck them all. Remember what George Carlin said: "It's a big club, and YOU ain't in it."
