That's a nice early one with the polished finish and a milled side plate. What does it say on the top of the slide?

One of my “friends” from the old days picked up one of those at cabelas for under $150 because some jackass nickel plated it. .32 worked well against a possum that took 2 mags of .22 LR before charging me again.

Makes for shitty eating if it has 25 random pieces of .22 caliber lead scattered all through it. Use a 22-250 next time. It'll get killed, automatically gutted, field stripped and skinned all at the same time, too. Plus, it'll often get disassembled into convenient bite sized pieces, saving you time and effort.
Just rinse it off and drop in in the pot.

I was trying to humanely put it down after a self defense situation involving the handle of a floor jack(really🤣). I was pretty young and/or stupid back then so mag dumping seemed like the best solution.
Not a .22-250 but I had a .17 rem around that time. Traded a LMT DSA StG-58 for it, my first FAL🥲. A well placed shot would field dress and quarter squirrels. I only saved the back legs for meat and the tails to freak out my mom so it was perfect.

I used my .22-250 on a big jack that was digging up my back 40, and from 200 ft one shot gave me a tail, and a head, both connected by a spine and a few fragments of other stuff.
That rifle was certainly overkill. It nuked that big ol’jack

I need to find one of those for my stash. I’d long ago pretty buch given up on pocket pistols with the exception of our P.238s.
Sold my ancient Baby Brownings 1B91EB4A-AB6A-4617-A7BD-12746729ED38.jpeg B5B95DA1-AD9E-4B3D-9A11-2C958ACA67BA.jpeg and all my PP/PPK variants. Basically got sick of less than reliable pistols. If a pistols doesn’t function perfectly every single time I squeeze the trigger, I want nothing to do with it. Not just go bang, but cycle properly and come back fully into battery with NO palm forward assist.
The 238 was the only pocket rocket that works right, every time.
And then this came along. I know, it’s not Czechoslovakian and it’s a bit newer, but it’s a damn nice little piece, and I HATE Maks.
P.64 is a serious little piece, it’s a bit brutal on the wrist, being quite snappy in recoil, and as long as you don’t limp wrist it, it cycles perfectly, even with crap US loads. It much prefers surplus Mak, preferably Polish surplus.
