The WLP haberdashery and slush fund sent me an e-mail with this info, but they must've spent all our dues money for the month on his suits, so their links didn't work. At least Colt has it up on their website.

Would love, love, love to have one.

Their price point is too high. My price point is too low. Today.

Perhaps we will meet sometime in the future.

WOn't be the quality of the early guns. I had a Python in the 70's, bought new for 350.00 . Sold it because everybody said they shoot loose early. But, such a nice action. And now what's it worth, a fortune. Damn.

The new Python is a great gun and the DA action an improvement over the original, which was never great or as useable as the Smith or Ruger IMO. They just need to use a slightly stronger mainspring. Too many of these new guns have DA triggers that stick with the trigger to the rear. I always liked how the Colt cylinder bolt drops into the cylinder scallop instead of dragging a line across the whole cylinder. Timing on mine is a thing of beauty but without lube the trigger sticks to the rear half the time making it a range gun only.
