My POS sister took everything from M&D's house, they put her in charge and since I dont have the coin to take the estate to probate court she gets away with it.

Could seriously use a benifactor.

But wish in left hand crap in right etc.
I got my father's 2 guns and a plague from the sub they had given him when he retired. I lived away and brother got the house and him and sister might have split personal things. I was the youngest so they were always jealous. Fuck them. I haven't spoken to any of them since 2011. Even my daughter can't stand them. A friend of mine for about 40 years made a shitty comment to me a few months ago. He's the same age as my sister who is 10 yrs older, and it reminded me of the same self-righteous condescending shit from that generation and told him to fuck off too.

Dad was a huge Hank Sr. and Johnny Cash fan

When he passed I caught my brothers throwin all his albums from the 50s and 60's in the garbage

Mom's beautiful Bavaria china sets from 40's and earlier ..... also was going to the dump

Lucky I was there and saw what they were up to

mine now :)

Couple of weeks ago, mama and I were wondering through a second hand store in Bisbee, yea I know, why, but she likes them,,,,

I came across a WWII foot locker, stenciled, with a gentleman's name and rank, serial number, in great condition so I opened it up.

I should not have opened it.

Inside, were photos, looked like him in uniform, correct rank as on the locker, somewhere in Europe, several snaps of his wife or girlfriend???, a couple of GI mail letters dated 44/45, some news clipping from that era.

Pissed me off, first thinking, his family just dumped them all in a second hand store, but later, thought maybe the old guy just outlived all his people, it happens.
He saved and safeguarded all that stuff, and then it ends up, in a second hand store.

Just ain't right...............

Any of you had to explain this song. Seems like every kid that visits my workshop and hears it asks WTF it means......................
Before my time, but my mom always told me about riding behind their horse on their wagon down to the local saloon with a bucket made to keep beer in and her dad going in to get it filled. They lived in the city too, but had a barn behind the house that had goats, cows, chickens and horses. Aunt and uncle lived upstairs and she and her parents lived in the bottom level of the house. They used to take a lodger to make some extra money and they only had one car, her mom stayed at home, like their aunt, and the men went to work. Drove by there about twenty years ago and that big old house was painted bright blue and the vehicles in the drive had gold trim and large wheels on them.

Somebody might've wanted that - like a museum. These guys are all pretty much gone now, so getting actual memorabilia/militaria would be up someone's alley.

Before air conditioning in trucks was common, driving across Texas in the summer time, at night, and listening to AM radio stations, coming into and out of range,,,,,life was good!!!!

It meant something to someone at one time but now not so much. FIL had his footlocker from WWII and his brown Corcorans in the attic above the garage. It all had memories for him. Those memories died with him. It ain't right but in the end it's just stuff and we all got stuff.
Wife and I laugh at the mess we are going to leave for the kids to sort through. Three outbuildings jam packed full of stuff - personal and farm stuff. vehicles, trailers, sprayers and so on... Plus the house. We are trying to toss and give away but it is like shoveling fog off the pier. Shit multiplies.
What military stuff I have only means shit to me. To the kids it's just a semi-polite fleeting interest.
We are a generation of stuff. Too much stuff.

I'm not familiar with anybody in any of the videos. I think I'm 16 until I accidently see my reflection.

Last night I saw this hotty MILF in Krojay. I thought, "Gah, what a hotty MILF with her leggings, jiggly butt, white sneakers, messy hair and nerdy glasses. I should go down the aisle and see what happens."

Then I thought, "No, I look like a bum and should stfu and mmofb."

I saw an oldie Monday at the restaurant waiting on a to go order. She was in a nice dress and very well proportioned. Skin was still tight and grey hair fixed with a little makeup. What struck me was she was sitting there not staring at a phone. I walked by a couple of times and gave here a glance, but she didn't notice me

I have boxes of albums and photos from the 1870's forward that I got from my mother's estate.

My forbears, the Darlings from Providence once were part of Brown and Sharpe.

Old Great Granpa ammassed a fortune in Providence, ...............and his 4 kids inherited it..in 1928 my Grandfather was worth 7.8 million that was still held in Providence Banks and real estate.......multiply that x 4...........at that time, even my Gramps share was worth more than the Joe Kennedys paultry 3 million. ......

The crash of '29 bankrupted the fam fortune, and old Joe Kennedy, a financial profiteer bought up hundreds of millions in assets from the kaput Providence banks, through skullgduggery.

We often laugh at fam reunions/funerals, how lucky we were not to have the money that destroyed the Kennedys.

Anyway the fam photos are gold.............and tell a story, at least in my case.........we are finally supposed to put a history book together for the descendants........

Brown and Sharpe, eh? Hahahaha.
