Nice set-up, IG. I could dig that.If you want a budget optic both PA and Vortex have excellent 1-8x scopes on 30mm tubes. I have the PA on mine with ACSS reticle. I use QD levers with Ultradyne C2 back up iron sights.

The thing with the ARMS rings is to set them both pressed fully against the front of the rail slots you've chosen, and close the cams just enough to "tack" them in place so you can mount and level your scope. This way the rings stay as concentric as possible when mounting and centering the scope....after which you can tension and adjust the ring levers just like you would a one piece LaRue or other quality QD mount. Use green or other non permanent loctite and dont overtighten the ring screws. Usually 25-30 in lbs is it, especially with steel rings like these.Nice set-up, IG. I could dig that.

Looks great!Slight change of plan on mine...1-8x moved over to my AR.
No ragrets. The 3.5x ACOG is a fantastic overall optic. The eyebox is so big you can shoot with both eyes open for close up or moving targets.

Kind of like the SUSAT on the L85.Looks great!
It looks like it belongs on the AUG.
Did you get it mounted?I bought one of the OG scopes Steyr was selling most recently.
Yeah, slight change of plan again...had to go with the donut myself. ACOG works great on the SCAR. It was a .308 reticle anyway though it says "M14 / M249" at the bottom of the view field so I assume the 16in carbine barrel of the SCAR will be off slightly.I bought one of the OG scopes Steyr was selling most recently.
I need to get some translucent mags to complete the look, but the NATO mags are a huge convenience. You won’t regret it!
How difficult was it to install the scope?I need to get some translucent mags to complete the look, but the NATO mags are a huge convenience.
The screws on the inside of the receiver have a yellow locking patch on them but they have a large Torx head so as long as you have the right Torx driver (most cheap China combo tool sets at Walmart have a pretty complete set of Torx tips) and a skinny extension to get through one of the receiver holes you are good. A hand driver won't cut it....you need to use a ratchet. Put a small amount of Loctite 290 or other non permanent threadlocker on the first 30% of the threads before you retighten the new scope down. How difficult was it to install the scope?
