There is nothing like a L1A1 Dealer. At the best a local shop has some surplus L1A1's.
FN also will not deal with civilians. They do there best to keep military fire arms out of the hands of civilians.

L1A1 rifle are still legal in France, but probably not for long : since last year, all ex military (full auto) FAL modified for civilian use are now forbidden with no grand-fathering and no money for compensation. They will be confiscated : thousands of StG 58 and genuine FN FAL will be destroyed after next november 1st. Thanks to the sons of bitches ruling in Brussels and to our politicians...
Maybe a french gunsmith will accept to sell and export a L1A1 to Iceland. Current price for a like new, overhauled Brit' FAL, is circa 1100 euros (1 euro = 1,02 US$). There will be probably some paperwork to be performed, with various fees (+ packaging, post fees & insurance).
First, your friend must ask the icelandic Police ans Customs about the feasability of such an import.

This decree is the transcript in french law of a directive enacted by the European Commission in 2017, which banned all ex full auto weapons for civilian use.
French shooters, who already legally owned ex full auto rifles modified for semi-auto only firing, were allowed to keep them but this "tolerance" was cancelled last year.

We can't, those bastards have deleted all democratic ways to impeach them to rule.
And the pseudo "free governments" of the European Union have the same goal : disarm the citizens, probably to ease their dictature.
The former "Commie states", now in the Union, want to save the free ownership of guns but the European Commission has many means to drive them to servility.
And the war in Ukraine, at european borders, just make the Commission more feverish : the armed citizens are never evoked in case of a russian invasion, in spite of what we can see in Estonia where rifles and ammo are distributed to the people.

Yes, they know anything about our firearms legally owned because any firearm built after 01.01.1900 must be registered (except some shotguns) and penalties are heavy, both financial and jail.
Maybe some yougsters will take the risk, but many shooters (including me) are too old for this king of game...
