This Tiger I tank was photographed in 1946 in Germany and later at the AMX factory Satory in 1965 and can now be seen in the Musée des

Blindés (Museum of Armoured Vehicles) Saumur, France having been recently restored to working order and painted as it looked in French Army Service. It can be identified by the same damage found on the front armor.

Kuwaiti tanks lost captured in Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on
2 Aug 1990.

70 X Vickers Mk. 1 delivered in 1970-1972: There is no information or records known if any Vickers MK.1 saw combat. All where destroyed and or captured intact.

175 X Chieftain tanks: During the invasion, elements like the Kuwaiti 35th Armoured Brigade used these tanks, but the fleet suffered heavy losses, with roughly 136 Chieftains where destroyed lost or captured after crews ran out of ammo or abandoned them. Kuwaiti 35th Armored Brigade vs. Elements of the Iraqi 1st "Hammurabi" and "Medina" Armored Divisions at the Battle of Bridges. With only 35 Chieftains at combat ranges from 1000 to 1,500 meter's Kuwait overall lost 0 to maybe 2 tanks compared to Iraqi losses of 30 tanks and more before Kuwaiti forces had to withdraw across the border after running out of ammo.

6 X Pre invasion M84 tanks: Following the invasion, a makeshift platoon containing these six M-84 tanks was rushed from Al Jahra to Kuwait City. They joined the Emiri Guard at the Battle of Dasman Palace, where they inflicted significant casualties on invading Iraqi special forces. All six tanks where lost some were destroyed in the fighting, while others were captured relatively intact by Iraqi forces after running out of ammunition. Overall Kuwait received 70 before retaking Kuwait and 170 M-84ABs overall.

the Emiri Guard at the Battle of Dasman Palace
Those guys had huge balls - the morning of the invasion, CNN showed two of their Saladins covering the approach roads to the Palace. Each one would fire in turn, constantly trying to suppress Iraqi T72s

Later in the day, CNN showed both of these Saladins as wrecks having "died in place" (a term familiar to graduates of Fort Knox)
