Any of you delightful fools have any experience using these powders in 6.5 Creedmoor? Ramshot's load data lists them and the velocities with 140 Hornady's look fine. Are either of these powders going to work in a gas gun?

Cheers!

The Accurate 4064 has a similar burn rate to RL15, which the Nosler reloading manual lists as a very accurate powder for the 6.5 Creedmoor (on the cartridge description page). Ramshot Big Game's burn rate is a little slower than Accurate 4064, so between the 2 powders, I'd lean towards Big Game. Looking at their online manual, velocities also look to be about 100fps faster with Big Game.

That said, I personally don't have experience with either of these powders. I do reload for a 6.5 Creedmoor gas gun, and I use VV N550, and H4350, and both of these powders have slower burn rates than the powders you listed.

Thanks for the info. With the burn rates for all the powders listed being pretty close, I think they'll work in a semi-auto. The rifle's got an SLR gas block, so I have plenty of adjustment range. I looked forever for H4350, but it's nowhere to be found.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work in a semi auto. If you have the powder, then it's definitely worth a shot.

I'll be honest, I've been lucky enough to have bought about 10 pounds worth of H4350 in the last month, but I looked for it for about 2 years. I recently downloaded the Discord app for my phone and subscribed to a reloading components discussion. Whenever someone post something in stock, I get notified on my phone. H4350, generally, has only been in stock for a few minutes at a time, just have to be fast enough. PM me for details on the discussion if you're interested.

I may be missing out, but I don't do phone apps. With the way Ramshot Tac performs for me, I think at least one of these two powders will do the trick.

Time to make up some test loads. :)

A4064 is said to be one grain slower than IMR 4064; it also meters better than IMR 4064, as it is short cut.
