BWest spotted, bad or good?

Post by Stoned_Oli »

I spotted a nice BWest spiker yesterday for $1100, sadly upon inspection it was "MADE IN USA".
After returning home a little research implied that the BWA, BWB etc. trunnion serial numbers were OK and the only ones with heat treat issues are the ones with no prefix and the serials on the receiver.
What say the class?

Avoid, there is a reason its priced as a parts kit, I'd buy a MAK90 and de ban before I'd buy a Bwest.

I’d be interested at 1100. That had issues with the receiver being soft I believe but most people just suggest shooting and wait till you see wear if ever.

The one on question is a BWB. I read something about the ones with the serial number on the trunnion only were actually made in China but were marked Made in USA. Any truth to that?
This one is at Family Pawn in Sedalia, Missouri BTW.

Off topic but I live close to Sedalia! I haven't been to that Family Pawn in a bit, but they seemed to have decent stuff last time I was there. I won't try to snipe your purchase, hope it works out for you!

Snipe away! I've spent my fun budget on other things.
