Does your workplace allow you to carry firearms?
Was speaking to a guy... he is a firearms guy, carries concealed. He wasn’t carrying at the moment because his workplace doesn’t permit firearms.
Personally, I say fuck that.
Carry anyway.
I Say carry everywhere. Work, going to the bank, stores, whatever.

My employer allows for me to have a loaded mp5 or sam7k next to my desk. Granted, I work for my families gun shop
I have talked to a lot of people about this. Most employers do not allow it but a lot of customers are willing to risk their job rather than their life.

No*
*Compliance is low as there seems to be an unofficial “Don’t ask-don’t tell” policy.
OTOH there seems to be so much trading, buying, selling and talking about the latest buy or trade at work that some days it feels like being at a gun show.

I would advocate a "don't ask, don't tell" attitude about it myself. And if you have to use it, then you have bigger things to worry about than your job.
Before the Big Crash of 8 July 2020, I remember reading a WTS post on the old site. Dude was selling off a shit load and had posted he had been caught at work carrying, which was against the rules at his work place. If I remember correctly, some Karen seen it "printing" and went and told some Chuck and boom, dude got fired.

Yep
Pistol on me
Rifle and sometimes shotgun in truck
Rifle at office and pistol in desk
Then again...I'm the boss and work alone

Nice try NSA. I can neither confirm nor deny whether my workplace allows or disallows weapons or whether I carry or do not carry at work

You don’t need to answer whether or not you carry.
I was more interested in how many work places ban people from carrying.

Usually have a rifle in the pickup. Carry gun goes on my tool box when I get there, along with anything else hanging off of me. Stuff gets hung up to much working on tractors so it all goes in the box.

The places I’ve worked since turning 21 have never seemed to have a policy one way or the other about it. The consensus among coworkers seems to be “better ask forgiveness than permission” if someone decides to carry.

Pretty much every place I have worked previously has had either an explicit no guns policy or and unwritten rule to that effect. It really sucks that many Americans don't believe in the 2nd Amendment.
Re: Does your workplace allow you to carry firearms?
I always have a gun in my vehicle, but I work in a manufacturing plant, and cannot carry one. If I really felt the need, like say an ex-employee I fired was a psycho that might come back and shoot me, I'd probably conceal one.
Re: Does your workplace allow you to carry firearms?
My work place hand book says practice judicial marksman ship in the event you need to shot or something along those lines .
Re: Does your workplace allow you to carry firearms?
Official policy is no firearms. We are spread out in different locations, and the building I work in is on the frontier of the less-civilized. I often respond to different equipment alarms and such late at night. This area is also at the heart of BLM protest country....and was in fact on the news today.
It is officially against the rules for me to carry.

Re: Does your workplace allow you to carry firearms?
Mine doesn't have a policy either way, but its Texas.
I carry 2 pistols daily and an AK in my backpack no one has ever said it was even frowned upon.
A few of us guys carry but haven't met a female that does at this job.
When we were shut down for a month the owners asked me to stay at the store for "security" reasons. Ha wonder why they picked me?

Re: Does your workplace allow you to carry firearms?
I am my own boss, so I say I can carry anywhere legal to do so.
Depending on the job I might leave my pistol on my belt, or I might put it in the cab with the AR pistol I also keep close.
I have been some places with no gun policies. In that case I just throw something over them, and call it good. If they want to bitch, their shit can stay broke, and costing them money with the down time, because I'll gladly leave so fast the screen door doesn't hit me on the way out.
