I have had good results just cleaning them up really good with a toothbrush and Dawn dish soap then spraying them with a coat of Minwax Helmsman spar urethane. Not sure what OP does.

I recall a thread where the OP brought them back to their former glory with baby oil.

It's just that the linen is exposed from resin starvation on the surface. Yup, spray polyurethane will fill it in. I did this on a Romy bayo and it brought it back to life.

Wasn't it Monkeytail that had a 'tutorial' thread? Soaking, massaging, polishing with natural oils. OP has done similar. I'll let him elaborate.
