Izzy kits 299.00 at PSA
PSA dropped their prices, to 299.00 for a light barrel Izzy kit,,when I checked, they still had them in stock.

Metric surplus mags on sale as well.

Basically yes if it's a FAL or LAR AR10. Just note that metric FALs don't have a metric thread anywhere on the them. Metric ain't really metric.

Ahh,....true EXCEPT for the Izzy. Barrel thread is a metric and why Izzy barrels need to be chased for any commercial receiver. 25mm thread iirc.

Well I decided to take the plunge and got one, now to find a receiver (DSArms) and a barrel, and of course learn the gun. The idea of a 21" barrel annoys me
Re: Izzy kits 299.00 at PSA
$299, must be the bottom of the barrel returns.. still worth it for the couple Israeli specific parts though.
Re: Izzy kits 299.00 at PSA
Well we will find out when they show up

Might want to wait until the FF opens back up, barrels and receivers show up in our market place there.
Re: Izzy kits 299.00 at PSA
The FAL is a battle rifle, not a CQB rifle. The designers chose the 21 inch barrel based on what the rifle was inteded to be used for. If you want a CQB rifle a smaller caliber such as the 5.56 or Russian 5.45 paired with the standard 16 inch barrels for both of those rifles where you can make quick follow up shots would be a better choice.

Yep, they are a strange bird. I try to stay away from them.

I would like to do a Izzy clone on a Imbel kit gun but finding a complete light barrel furniture setup in excellent condition at a decent price... the mythical unicorn.
Re: Izzy kits 299.00 at PSA
Im not apposed to a 21" barrel don't take it that I want a CQB .308 because that wasn't the point I was making. I'll grab the correct 21" barrel when I can find one. If I am getting this build I want it correct. Might spur me to get a 2nd FAL down the line

Lucky you. living on the other side of the country I won't get my delivery till maybe next week if not the next. Another thing I really dislike about PSA.john Dillinger wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 3:18 amMy kit and mags will be here tomorrow according to tracking, will post pics to this thread. I bought an Izzy kit. Just couldn't resist. I was wondering if the magazines PSA is clearing out have Izzy markings?

Reading the reviews it sounds like a mixed bag. Others with real experience should chime in.

My kit should be here tomorrow, will post. I'm hoping for a type 1 lower this time, and if it's as nice or even close to the one I already have I'll be happy, the first kit I got looks new from arsenal rebuild. But ordered it when they first hit the market.
Re: Izzy kits 299.00 at PSA
I grabbed one as well just because of the price. Will be here next week but I hear they range from very nice to having bent and unusable parts in them. I’m expecting on the lower side, like I’ve purchased the bottom of barrel, but hope I’m wrong.
