Yep lots of influential rich persons on that ship - but most can't consider that the Titanic was taken down, that would be too much to believe! Hmmmph! I'm of the consideration that the virus is a planned attack, designed to halt the new Nationalism spreading across the planet - the desperate will do anything to maintain power, and legacy - But thats me!

Speaking of the Titanic...

I saw a YouTube documentary 3-4 years ago that purported that the sinking of the Titanic was an insurance scam gone horribly awry. They provided some pretty compelling evidence that the ship that was lost was actually the Olympic (that had been re-badged as the Titanic). I wish I could remember the details, because they made a pretty solid case, and I haven’t been able to find that documentary again.

Saw a documentary last year where they claimed that there was a smoldering fire in an internal, hard to reach, sealed compartment beneath the waterline. It was like a storage locker for non critical stuff, such as cleaning supplies or ropes.

The fire had started in Liverpool ( IIRC ) and had not been put out till after they reached Southampton ( or whatever the last port was ) a few days later.

Basically it was a minor fire, considered of little consequence and the crew had allowed it to go out by itself. But the heat damage to the molecular structure of the metal nearby had been done.

Bottom line, the long simmering fire had weakened the bulkheads, metal planks and rivets of the hull, so that even a slight rub against the Iceberg was enough to cause a catastrophic failure.

Whereas normally this ship-to-iceberg glancing contact would have been largely a non issue, because the hull metal structure was brittle at that point, it just shattered.

Made sense to me.
