I own two older ones. A 1970 halfcab I’m restoring and a 1977(final year 1st gen) that I cruise and wheel a bit. I jumped on with my $100 refundable reservation for the 2021 last night. It must have been busy since it clogged their site up pretty bad. Let’s see how it unfolds over the next few months. Won’t even see it until spring next year.
Nice! Boss at my first job had a white and red halfcab he used to pick me up in every day after school. Guy on a side street from where I used to get my hair cut (back when that was allowed) had one in his driveway for years. I'd drive by it every couple of weeks to see if there was a sign on it.
I like it a lot. I had a 96 Eddie Bauer for years and like a dumb ass I sold it. I'd like to get the new 2 door version with the auto. My left knees screwed and the car I have no with a standard trans will be my last vehicle with one save for the 1973 cj6 I have.
Proof is in the pudding, as it were. I wish them well, and its a welcome addition to the frey - my old Brooco2 V6 manual with locking diffs was the best. I was always pulling my buddies jeep out the sand - if I out live my Tacoma, maybe i'll consider one!
It looks pretty cool no doubt, but I find it funny that many people in youtube comments already declared it the Wrangler killer and far superior, even though it isn't even available to the public so no one has driven one. Who knows, maybe it sucks. I guess looking cool in pictures and video is all anyone needs to know.

"Wrangler killer"?
Guess they were too busy trying to stroke off with the new Bronco's tailpipe to notice that Jeep announced the 392 Hemi was going into the Wrangler.

The biggest issue with that, is it will be expensive as fuck, although insanely cool. Even the standard 5.7 in lower trim levels, aka more affordable, would kick ass.
