It's a compelling theory, fairly well documented.c0dy33 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 5:08 amJust read an excerpt about eating eggs. Sounds interesting; going to add it to the list.jaxxas wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 5:04 amJust recent;y finished 'https://www.amazon.com/Catching-Fire-Co ... 204&sr=8-5'

If you enjoy adventure/military nonfiction, I'd recommend "Legionnaire" by Simon Murray.

The Turner Diaries
Re: What book are you reading?
The book "The Hellfire Boys" by Theo Emery. It is the history of the poison gas development of the US during WWI and the formation of the US Army Chemical Warfare Department. Kind of funny to find out that the main laboratory was located just a short distance from the US Capitol Building in DC. Also funny is they found several tons of buried gas shells, drums and other storage containers on the site in 2013.
Article about the find: https://www.washingtonian.com/2013/02/ ... t-next-door/
From the article: "What the Army failed to state explicitly was that Dieterich and her neighbors were living yards away from the first military Superfund site in a residential urban area, where the Army is actively searching for bombs and poisonous chemicals.
The Corps has been trying for years to pinpoint the location of a waste pit pictured in a grainy 1918 photograph. Sergeant Charles Maurer, shown standing over the pit, wrote on the back: “The most feared and respected place on the grounds. The bottles are full of mustard, to be destroyed here. In Death Valley. The hole called Hades.”
The Corps now believes that it has found “the hole called Hades”—directly across the street from Christine Dieterich’s home.
This past November, she watched from her kitchen as Army contractors tore down the three-story brick house at 4825 Glenbrook. The Corps will spend an estimated $12 million to excavate and restore the site. The dig could last into 2014.
“We are anticipating we will find additional lewisite in the soil under the house,” Army Corps project manager Brenda Barber says. Lewisite, made with arsenic, was perhaps the most toxic of the poisons tested on the AU campus. It was called “the dew of death” because a single drop could be lethal. Bombs with lewisite were on their way to Europe when World War I ended."
This site was about 6 miles from the Capitol Building

Re: What book are you reading?
On the fiction/relaxation reading, I've started back through the Tom Clancy "Jack Ryan" novels I have not read in 20+ years. Currently in "Sum of All Fears" which is 4th or 5th down that list. My grandsons have now left, so I think I may go to the couch for a Sunday afternoon perusal of a couple chapters now. Hope I don't fall asleep
For technical/reference stuff, I have a fairly good library in my office for when I need specific info.

"Version Control with Subversion." Which, despite the name, has nothing to do with Socialist historical revisionism...
Also, "None Dare Call It Treason" by John Stormer. I had read it long ago, re-reading it again now. It's about Communist infiltration of American society, circa 1964; lots of Congressional records, speech transcripts, newspaper clips, etc. Pretty dry stuff, mostly driving home that the progtards have been doing their shit for a long, long time. There was a second edition later, but it's rare and expensive. I expect it's more of the same, though.
