Recommended PM source

Anyone have a source for PMs they would recommend ?
I never realized the vast number of dealers out there.
I have too much time on my hands while the wife is on the TV at night.

The local coin dealer I used to do business with is basically saying there is no physical to be had and what is being sold is well above spot price with serious premiums.

Not a good time to try and buy in.

Purportedly Mexico just allowed silver miners ot resume working, classifying it as an "essential" industry.

I am mostly looking to fill a few spots in my collection .
Wait and maybe never get it or buy as cheap as possible in the current situation.
I feel like the guy just deciding he needs some ammo or toilet paper
Any recommended PM forums ?
Thanks for the suggestions so far. APMEX was on my short list.

kitco forums used to be awesome but they got moderated into oblivion. It still might be your best bet.

I haven't bought gold or silver in years.

But when I did https://www.providentmetals.com/?msc...298be679ba2bdb
Had the best price each time.

No affiliation other than a past customer.

But, why. They all say it "could" go as high as $100. They wouldn't lie would they?

IMHO if silver goes to $100 an ounce they'll be asking $200 an ounce! But if you are desperate.....

I like APMEX & JM Bullion
I’ve had good experiences with both of them.

The FAL is not a "platform".
It is a lady-lookin' foreign made collection of sexy Belgian curves that intimidates the shit out of today's Pajama-boy males.

It's not an Assault Rifle, it a Sport Utility Rifle.

Silver is about where it was when ECR1 was on and on about it about 10+ years ago. Actually down some from there. Yes, it 'could' go as high as $100, could go to $1000. But the rub is the art of investing involves preparing for what it will do, not what it might do.

Turns out neither ECR1 or myself were right about silver. I figured it would basically follow the arc of inflation over the next (i.e., last) 10 years or so and do a few percent per year but it didn't even do that. I was a whole lot closer than he was though .

Well, I think if silver is $100/oz, it just means $100 is worth less.

You could certainly look at it that way, and with respect to silver at least you would be absolutely correct. Point is it hasn't, despite all the chest beating, doomsday predictions and (yes), even good reasons for it to move.

On the other hand consider Rhodium, it went from just under $14k to about $5.5k/oz in the first two weeks of March. Yet the end of the world failed to materialize, dogs still chase cars and roosters still think the sun rises because they crow in the morning.

Frankly I worry less about metals prices than I do consumer confidence. Because confidence is the whole game, when that's gone the gig truly is up.

There must be a lot of people desperate. The non-collector physical PMs are gone as fast as they are stocked. Sorta like ammo
And thank you all for the suggestions. I have previously dealt with Provident and JM. Just thought there might be another highly recommended outfit.
Interesting discussions. I don't think people are investing, they are realizing what printing all this money is going to do to the dollar

I just received an email from Silvertowne advertising their 'melt bucket' silver.

Probably about the cheapest silver you can find currently.

$100 is already worth less. The real question is when or will it become worthless!?

More a question of when IMHO.

Which brings up Bubba's comment on confidence...

Thats insane. $6 over spot for melt? Same deal as 2008 but way worse. Physical is totally in short supply vs paper. Not just bars < 100oz and coins like before. You should be able to buy 500oz silver shot for close to spot. Otherwise there is something fishy. There has to be people interested in taking delivery on a futures contract. You could make 20% turning around and selling it online.

Fishy?

Think maybe somebody is manipulating the price of precious metals?

Couldn't happen!

I checked the KC Craigslist and there's 1 seller at $25.00 an Oz and 100+ WTB'ers! A few sellers of $$$ collector silver.
One generous fella is willing to pay $1.00 over spot for your silver!!

I'm finally out of CC debt and there's no metal to buy. Even fish hooks, sinkers and bobbers are scarce at Walmart. Everyone around here is at the lakes & rivers fishing!
