Tripwire Perimeter Alarms

Tripwire perimeter alarms made from modified M228 grenade fuse assemblies. These are armed with common 209 shotgun primers (cost around $4 for a box of 100 at most sporting good stores). When the pin is pulled, a spring loaded striker strikes the primer. The sound is comparable to a 22lr.

These are great to use as a wildlife deterrent when camping and/or around gardens, to catch or scare off dopers trespassing on your property, and/or to warn you when a platoon of communists is moving onto your position.

You’ll get the device, roughly 25 feet of brown Kevlar cord, the original grenade pull pin, 2 blued cotter pins, and 2 nails for fastening to a tree, post, etc. 209 primers NOT included.

$10 each plus $3 shipping for as many as you'd like. 10 available. I’ll be busy today, so it may take me a while to reply back. Post “I’ll take it” and follow it up with a message. Time stamp important. Will be cross posted.

I painted a few. Most came out nice, but there’s a few with small blemishes. Not that these need to look pretty. First come first serve. The rest are “in the white”, which allows you to paint them to resemble the terrain in your area (makes more sense).

I only accept Cash, USPS MO, or Google Pay at the moment. Google Pay is REALLY easy to set up and use, if you aren’t familiar with it.

I’ll try to post a video demonstrating how to use one tomorrow.

My own set. They fit perfect in the $2 tackle compartments you can get a WalMart.

Here's is a short video clip of one in action (sound quality doesn't give it any justice):

Thanks! I like how discrete they are compared to a lot of the other trip devices I’ve seen.

I try my best to price fairly for myself and the buyer. I’ll have a few more to list here in a few days once I get some more time to complete them.

Went to a SGS (Sporting Goods Store) yesterday and bought a tray of 209A primers, now I'm wondering if these are correct for the alarms ?

IE: how are the standard 209 primers different than the 209A primers ?
