ATE/FAST/Maritime Helmet advice?

Need a 'bump helmet' for NVG mount and am looking for suggestions, non-ballistic & US made.

Was going to get a Team Wendy until I heard about their support for Hillary Clinton on her first campaign stop!

Anyone using one they are happy with?

$300 or so budget. Will be mounting a BelOMO Belarusian NV/G-14 "flat" binocular. http://belomo.by/en/catalog/optical-..._vision/nvg_14

Chase Tactical- Price is good, ($195) weight is OK (2 lbs). How is the padding on the interior and comfort for longer wear?

Looked online at Ops-Core and the interior padding doesn't look very fancy and costs more at $235.

None of these companies' websites really explains how to mount the electronic hearing protection. I've seen the Peltor mounts, but I wonder how well they actually keep the earcup firmly over your ear? I can always use in-the-ear protection, but would eventually like a turnkey NVG/illumination/shooting setup.

Wish I had the cash for the MTEK USA, it looks awesome!

I've been issued a Pro-Tec as a bump helmet before. A Pro-tec A-Bravo might be what you're looking for. They claim it works with comms but ive never used it with them. They have mounting options for NVG. Fully loaded i think its around 135.

Hey Ville, thanks for two beautiful links and the helmets are so cute and designable and give a perfect safety.

not sure about electronics as I haven't gotten there yet, but my OpsCore padding is better than my Protec - locks the helmet down better so my 14s jiggle less. Chin strap is not my favorite.

You know, there are these circus freak dudes with threaded stainless inserts in their head for mounting useless shit like spikes and such. How about some 1/4-20 noggin nuts for attaching NVG?
