Cheapest barrel I've seen yet. I haven't had any issues with my Vet's freebie barrel. Not going to win any competitions with it, but probably great for "WRONG HOUSE MOTHER$#$@#!!!!" purposes in the 14.5" length.

REAL cheap barrel...

I use a lot of single point slings on my poodle shooters. If it gets a collapsible stock or is a pistol build all get a two side single point sling adapter in place of standard receiver end plate. Allows nice weight distribution and myriad of carry styles. Have paid as much as $50 for name brand single point slings and as little as $9.99 to go on give away or junk box build rifles. Purchased four from same fleabay vendor who specifically advertised as air soft reproductions but decided to order four as two were going on give aways and other pair will either get pushed to back of vault till I die or give them away unless AR's see prices double or more when Dems get White House back.

When the most recent $10 fleabay versions arrived was impressed by their quality. Seams were well sewn and if made in China were no "made in China" labels. Buckles are strong and has nice padded clip attachment. Also each came with the same basic single point sling adapter usually buy from Palmetto which is $6 item itself. Pulled one of the tan and one of the green and put on rifles I use and carried for a couple weeks. Have since ordered six more as vendor has different colors come in stock. He may only have one color this week, three colors next week then be back to one color or out of stock. If want a budget sling with adapter these meet my seal of approval for budget builds and who knows, if continue to hold up may find their way on some nice rifles. Fleabay seller mgs_warehousedeals.

Picked up one of these for $400 off a local board. He said it was too heavy.

It is officially as cheap to build an AR 10 as it is an AR 15. This is one hell of a deal to me...

PSA Upper

PSA Lower

Heck of a deal if those are indeed in-spec USA parts. Just placed an order for these and some other stuff.

If anyone sees nice pistol braces like the SIG adjustable or Tailhooks please post them up. Dang KAC on my 458 SOCOM's are thumping me. Soon as all Form 4's and Form 1's come back going to pin suppressors to them and bring them up to 16" so can put a comfy stock on but need something better than that thin shark fin digging in my shoulder.

Ok boys, with black Friday coming I hope we can get a lot on here. My 25yo son has (FINALLY) decided to take an interest, and wants to build an AR for his Christmas/B-day (Jan 23rd) present. Not going crazy, just decent parts that he can upgrade to really good stuff down the line. So, if you see anything on BF or before that fits the bill please post it here. I'll be watching intently. I'll likely buy a lower here in town at Primary Arms in person to save shipping and transfer fees, but other than that I'll need everything else.

Ao, as always, TiA!

Get on some mailing lists if you don't want to miss out. I'm on JoeBob Outfitters, PSA, Stag, Karri's Guns, Keep Shooting, Sportsmans Guide, Cabelas, Henry, Black /aces Tactical, Silence Shop, Ammunition Depot, Springfield Armory and some others.
I look through them and either file them or delete them.

PSA needs to do a series with a "KAV" prefixed S/N to honor our new Supreme Court Justice.

They also seem to be slipping back into their old ways, though. My order from last Friday is still "processing".

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."

OK boys if you need a "truck gun" or starter for a new shooter it doesn't get much easier than this, or cheaper. ODG or FDE upper for $220, lower for $130. That's a complete AR for $350, cheap pistol territory. Only thing it needs is a rear sight. Free shipping, only other out-of-pocket $$$ is the transfer from your FFL.

Nothing will improve your groups more than a quality trigger. Hard to be this for a really good drop in. I paid $110 for my JMT and felt like that was a GREAT deal.

Or $50 + shipping for their nitrided https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...516446953.html with the proviso that **Due to part constraints, some orders may receive a free upgrade to a Mil-Spec Carpenter 158 Bolt**

Or $90 + free shipping for their boron-something carpenter bolt group

Gorilla has anti-walk pin thingies for $8 + shipping: https://www.gorillamachining.com/Gor...n-2_p_656.html

Unbranded AR prices

Prices at Unbranded AR appear to have dropped in the last 1-2 weeks.

PSA also has their standard SAFE/FIRE lowers for $29.99 each. Hard to beat that...

Or you can wait for the next run on guns and pay much more...

(If you can buy them at all, of course, but I'm sure that goes without saying).

Forrest

PS: Keep in mind that these are high shelf lowers, if that makes any difference to you...

Eabco hs the 1.5 pound Calvin elite on sale for $242 and the 2.0 pound Jard that swapping to lightweight hammer will tune down to 1.5 pounds as well on reduction. If like to use light triggers and know how to use them without doubling thsee are decent buys.

https://www.eabco.net/Timney-660-CE-...p_p_15451.html

I have two of the Calvin Elites and several of the Jard 1.5's. The Jards will double with eight out of ten shooters who do not cycle trigger fully and let it bounce off their finger a second time. The Calvin Elites not so much but require a lot of tuning and often need retuning. When have it where you want use a non agressive thread locker or screws will turn and if use standard thread locker may damage trigger when time to adjust comes if not totally screw it up. Unless building 24" or longer fat tube paper punches and varmint killers thesee triggers are best for conversation pieces. I use on my 24" and 26" varmint rifles as even if don't follow through properly and they double it's not a big deal on a 400 to 800 yard varmint field from a good rest.

Not an AR part per second but Midway has the Walker's Razor Slim Low Profile Electronic Earmuffs (NRR 23dB) Flat Dark Earth with Free Walkie Talkie for $59 each. This gives you a set of electronic hearing muffs with a well engineered clip on/clip off FRS radio that attaches to muffs. Very handy if have a few folks over a dove field or spread around an area in varmint blinds or deer hunting and someone needs help or group is tracking a wounded animal.

Can use as plain muffs, electronic muffs where hear ambient sounds amplified up to 4x around you or attach the FRS radio with voice operated fold out of way microphone.

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1021568860?pid=961102

I have top of the line MSA Sordins, 3M Pelers and other brands that have four microphones, Bluetooth, auxiliary inputs for radios and myriad of features that range in price from $250 to $750 per set. When pull on an overt vest and helmet phone links to headsets then plug cable into auxiliary jack and am able to use phone, two radios and hear what's going on while muffin loud sounds. To be able to do this for $59 per person I ordered four and may order another pair so can go out with up to six people and all have hearing pro that talks to each other with three mile range.

Edit:
Imagine a pig hunt after dark with a couple or three ATV's each with a pair of shooters how much safer and more effective the hunt could be. Pair sees a group of dozen or more hogs can easily bring another group of shooters into safe position to set up a crossfire situation while positioning another group or two in direction think the unshot hogs will run and herd them into a full on ambush. I now have thermal on two AR 15's and one AR 10 along with Gen 2+ Starlight on two AR's and Gen 3 on an M1a. Add in helmet mounted Gen 2+ Starlight and thermal if the hogs get on our farm will gather a group of trusted friends and will make it a very undesirable place for hogs to visit. Already plan to set up four men with night vision at neighbors farm eight miles up the road where hogs are overrunning him already soon as weather cools a few nights and see if we can efficiently and safely push them across the borders back into Laos and Cambodia.

There are places close to me this style of pig killing would be a huge service to the community all while making it safer as all participants are in constant communication and worst case one groups stray rounds end up too close to another group or participant in the hunt people can start screaming cease fire and even with the overpowering sound of a couple AR's booming all will hear there is an issue and need to stop shooting. As have thought about this since first post I went ahead and pulled the trigger on another pair as six people is most I have ever hunted with thus would be enough and if not could tap the frequency with my personal mid or high dollar sets that patch into radios for an extra shooter or two.

Picture of Headset mentioned:
