I love Stainless. Does anybody else? Show 'em!

Well, I kinda felt like showing these off:

All are stainless or mostly stainless.

From top to bottom:

Weatherby Vanguard II Sporter in stainless, walnut, rosewood, .308 Winchester
Winchester Marine Stainless. I'm not sure if that's walnut or birch. 12 gauge pump action.
Ruger 10/22 Target Stainless (model 1136) with a red dot mounted. Brown laminate stock. The 20 inch barrel is heavy enough already so they made the receiver out of aluminum. .22LR (obviously).
Springfield Armory XD(m) 9mm Competition with the 5.25 inch barrel. I want to buy a replacement stainless barrel that can take a suppressor. It might be cool to buy a Mech Tech Systems carbine conversion for it, too--also threaded.
Smith & Wesson .38 Special revolver.

The Weatherby and the S&W are unfired, but the rifle won't remain a virgin very long after I buy her a scope.

I'd also like to have a stainless FAL someday. The thing is, I'd want it done right. A key problem is so few of the metal parts are actually stainless. But wouldn't a stainless

look fantastic with all walnut furniture? You're damn right it would!

I know, right? Both the shotgun and the 10/22 barrel are fully polished. The rest are matte. I've also seen some polished stainless XD(m) pistols and they are gorgeous. I have seriously considered polishing mine. I hear tell on the interwebs it's as simple as buying some mag polish at the auto parts store and then investing the required elbow grease. If I do go that route, I'll probably try to shine some scrap stainless before I attempt to burnish my pistol.

All the shotgun says on the barrel is "Winchester Stainless Marine" but I believe it's a model 1300, not 870.

These shotguns show up on GunBroker on average about once a month, but there might be two or three in a row then none for a month or two. They've been running between $600 to $800, but last year I saw one go for about $1200. That one might have been unfired NOS--I can't remember. I got extremely lucky and pounced on a buy-it-now for...let's say...less than average.

Only stainless gun I've cared for is the S&W 686-4 my brother had. Excellent shooter, but I don't miss revolvers.
