I must have drove past that store outside of Effingham (St Elmo?) at least 100 times. Many years ago. I never did stop in to look around. I always had the family with me or was in a hurry to get that boring drive over.

Just looked at it last night, mine is a Marauder Mk1.

The shape is that of a kukri, but much better executed.

To add to my previous post......the Marauder was made in two versions, a Mk1 and a Mk2. The Mk1 was a bit shorter than the Mk2, and they were both made for Blackjack Knives by Seki in Japan in 1988.

Looks like a handy knife. My next purchase will be a Blackjack model 1 or 3.

It is. I see it basically as a modernized version of the old Kukri. It is a knife made for slashing, not stabbing. The blade is sharp enough to cut someone's throat.

I also would have liked to buy the Mk2, but I was unable to get one back then.
