SUSAT reanimation

did lost of SUSAT's come in the US without animation, or cut off animation holders? People interested in replacements?

I personally don't care to have a replacement as I would never use it.

I'm talking about the folks that had theirs totally cut off. For $20 you could have your reanimated. If I had to make those from scratch then we talking like $85 shipped. Little more complex than the regular trilux holder.

Do you mean a SUIT? The SUSAT is a different scope, and as far as I know is intended only for the L85 rifle, not the SLR.

Not SUIT. SUSATs were imported a few months back about 150 units. Some one from the UK told me.

Okay. I remember seeing a few SUSATs on GB earlier this year. Cool to see them, but since AFAIK they were made expressly for a rifle we'll never see over here I just couldn't justify biting on one.

As far as I know, the SUSAT's you are talking about were brought in by MarColMar and all were in exactly the same condition as I posted above.

I have some spare illuminations for mine. I'm way more interested in getting mine reconditioned. Repainted and the lip on the eyepiece fixed up.

You'd probably be able to sell picatinny adapters for them. The dealers may even buy them from you, since they are made for the L85 rail, and I don't know of any adapters currently.

There was a company that made QD levers to replace scope ring screws. I forget the name.

got in touch with leapers and see what they say. Thsoe other outfits that sold just those parts are like in la la land. They charge like $35 when UTG sells a whole QD riser for like $13.
