Tamiflu lawsuit - danger Will robinson!

This well tested(sic) go to for some, has been banned for children in Japan - and now........

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

"A whistleblower lawsuit has been filed against drugmaker Roche over influenza medicine Tamiflu
The suit alleges the company made false claims and misrepresented studies, causing the U.S. government to stockpile $1.5 billion of the drug for use during potential pandemics
The whistleblower lawsuit alleges that Roche knew Tamiflu was ineffective at fighting influenza pandemics but went ahead and “masterfully marketed this drug to fill Roche’s coffers at taxpayer expense”
The lawsuit was filed under the False Claims Act by Dr. Thomas Jefferson, who has been questioning Tamiflu’s effectiveness since 2009
Because the False Claims Act mandates payment of triple damages along with civil penalties, Roche could face a judgment in excess of $4.5 billion"

Go ahead, make my day!

I had Type A flu four weeks ago. The difference before/after taking Tamiflu was night and day. Definitely did me well.

Maybe you didn't have the flu but a cold, maybe you aren't a 7 yrs old child, maybe you didn't read the article ..... maybe many things! However the law suit is going ahead - eventually ssri's will be limited, opiates are in the process thereof - but don't worry, China makes it all anyway - but then again would you take an antibiotic for a viral infection! Don't do drugs, stay healthy, no fear, stay safe!

Tamiflu worked on 3 of my coworkers. They all had no flu shot but did take tamiflu and advised it cut their downtime to 3 days from the usualy 7.

nothing works for all, worse yet some medicine that works great for some kills others.

Tamiflu works great for most

Penicillin works great too but it has the potential to kill me, supposed to wear a damn' medical ID bracelet

Now pain meds...
Straight documented FACT that for unknown reasons Redheads are highly resistant to most of it. Opiates barely touch us
One time in surgery I was a bit woozy but awake watching the docs cut me apart. No pain, couldn't move but watched most of the procedure through slitted eyes
Been numerous studies on it, no real understanding as yet other than that gingers are just adverse to a number of things that perform well in the rest of the population regardless of race

surgery after that they used a mix of valium and Demerol to put me totally under the boardwalk

don't make me "better"
just different as to what my CNS responds to

Sigg' - Flu is not a 7 day event - seems they had a cold! I have had flu x2 times in my life, it is no fun once it sets in - a cold you could go to work, tho' infecting others is the reason why one shouldn't.
Again read the article - it only ever said that it would take 1.3 days off but didn't stop hospitalisations, the real time saved was 16+ hours.
The danger to children, is that the Blood Brain bridge is not formed correctly beneath 7 yrs. Giving it to a child that young, can lead to mental disorders that have led to suicides etc....

Trypcil....
I know what I know. I believe these guys and their docs 100 times more then I believe you or your biased links. Don't give a fcuk if you use Tamiflu or ever get a vaccination or a flu shot. Nobody got hospitalized, no child was harmed. I practice clean hands and avoid sick people and did not get it.
Are you sure you did not use something that might have affected you at a young age?

Good for you sigg keep on keeping on - just don't give the fake drug to your children/grandchildren you'd be rolling the dice - now that you are aware! You, I am not worried about.

RSS - being of a redheaded disposition myself I agree with the anesthetic thing - quite used to the pain, similar experience to yourself - but antibiotics have no negatives for me - haven't taken any for years!
Have you heard of the 'Black Widow' phenomena? - funny one but I have had a couple of Dr friends explain it. Cunnilingus, can lead to heart attacks in men past 45ish. Due to certain organisms that reside in "dark places" of the women they love. Once transferred to the male, it somehow increases his chance of heart attack - so every 5 years or so it is recommended to take a precautionary antibiotic - the type I cannot say. That routine apparently saved many a male who likes his Wilton! Adding to that, heart attacks in the expanding lesbian community is up considerably since the 70's - maybe there's something to it! Maybe not!
But either way to those who trust modern medicine emphatically, carry on - your ailments help big farma, and the economy no end. For that, your nation thanks you! Stay healthy, No fear, be safe, pay attention - be wiser!

Well a good share of the issue has been the spread of Chlamydia among broads.
Late 80s my main drinking buddy in Fargo ND roommate came down with a nasty cold...put him in the ER twice, docs couldn't figure out what was going on. They finally stumbled upon it, a rampant Chlamydia infection that had reached the lungs.
Oh G-d did he take grief, word got out of course on the NDSU campus...gals wanted nothing to do with him. He ended up dropping out of school over his self imposed exile.

Back then Chlamydia wasn't very common, by the 2000s it was widespread...today it's rank common
Other factors involve the proliferation of free porn online so today you have a generation of young people who see anal play as totally normal
That's just the wrong hole and leads to major health issues
anyways, some studies claim up to and over half of sexually active young wimmins have that infection these days

With me, as a child I was extremely sensitive to molds and yeasts
Cheese would give me rashes, Beer same issues
1st time I took Pennicilin I broke out in Hives, big ones. Sinuses started closing up, they had to shoot me up with other shit and keep me in an Oxygen Tent for a few days. It's genetic. Come down the family line from Norway. That said it gradually went away post puberty

As a teen in the 70s all my peers were experimenting with the dope
stuff that just laid them out often had little effect on me but other things had a completely different effect. Cocaine for example acted on me like Opiates did on my friends
No explaining it...

Dated two redheads in my life, total blazing in your face carrot tops like me
both had similar issues with Opiates, they just had little affect until they multiplied up the dosage

Some roll their eyes at this
Well most of us know folks that get shit faced on a couple beers
not everybody reacts the same to a given chemical stimuli

I get it RSS - many don't, they have unbridled faith in something they are really in total iggerence of - Darwin will have his moment, usefully or otherwise!
Cocaine never did it for me, weed neither and certain beers just give me a headache, others don't - usually foreign beers - must be the grains!
The Stoic in me just laughs at what I cannot change - but it is amusing to see the vitriol, and idiocy come into play, especially by those that think they know better, and it's patently obvious that they don't care or even wish to question! Sometimes you can plant a seed, and it just dies!
