Local made

I'm not really a "knife guy" like many of you here. My knife desires are more utilitarian than collectable. I learned over the weekend however that the son of some local friends was making knifes. I contacted him and he brought a couple by the house this evening for me to check out. I'm not yet sure what I will do with it, but I could not pass up on such a cool looking, locally made knife.

Do nothing but enjoy and appreciate the time & talent that went into making such a gorgeous work of art! That’d be a beautiful knife without the Damascus blade, but that just grain just puts it in another league man. Very, very cool!

I decided to keep it on a book shelf in my office, but I need to find or make a stand of some sort. I found a million options for knife stands on Amazon, but I saw nothing that really appealed to me. I'm thinking I may make something myself from an antler shed or maybe a unique shaped bit it tree limb. Any ideas of examples are welcome.

The Antler stand sounds like a winner, but the handle may get lost in the mix. Maybe a wood stand like this would be better. Btw, nice book collection!
