Helikon bob

I see they offer this pack in a grey color that doesn't look military. What do you guys think of this pack?

It's a neat looking "non-threatening" (I'm sure you get what I mean) little pack, you would need to try one on to see how it fits you if you plan on walking with it. I didn't watch the whole video but do they cover where it is made ? I looked at some of their clothing a few years ago and it was mostly made in China. It was pretty good quality however !! I have some gear made in Taiwan and other Asian countries that is excellent so this isn't a deal breaker at all.

For what you describe I have an Eberlestock "Cherry Bomb" in a light grey colour.

Helikon is out of Europe it looks like. Not sure who puts the packs together but they make a bunch of products.

Yep, I came across them looking for a specific style of jacket and was impressed with the pricing compared to other European made gear, I did end up going with another maker ( http://www.tacgear.de/endex.php ) for what I wanted . That is how I got to where much of it was made. Apparently they heavily targeted the "airsoft" market in Europe but picked up their game when real users started to buy it. They were Polish based when I looked last but it has been a bit. I think their gear would serve you well however.

The shoulder strapping looks comfortable. What concerns me is zippers. I don't like packs that rely on them alone. Like to see some straps and E-buckles as back up.
