2 nhm91 rifles found

I just found 2 nhm 91 rifles at a pawn shop.
Appear to be rpk style . One is great condition with all original wood the other has been changed to after market plastic stock..My question is what theyre worth and are they good rifles or junk?

They’re fine rifles. As to value, try looking on GB and see what they are actually bringing as opposed to what folks are asking for them. I’d imagine they’re around $1k give or take a few hundred bucks these days.

I'd buy the funky stocked one while you can,and just patiently wait for a stock set to float by. One will, they always do. Its the metal that you can find.
Hopefully this isn't priced at arm-and-leg prices.

They also have an akms
Coming up for sale. I checked today and they still have
The nhm91 with plastic stock. The akms will be available in a few days. Gonna try to do a package deal.
Dont know what make/country the akms is yet...question is,will mak90 furniture work on the nhm91? Also the nhm91 needs a dust cover .The one on it has a scope mount and leupold scope.

I have one and really love it. The firing pin retaining set up is a bit different than the MAK90 I have. I had the retiaining pin break and it was easily replaced by a locally sourced pin from a hardware store.

If the sights are straight, the barrel good and the price is right, you should buy it. The furniture and top cover should be found easily enough.

The stock on the nhm91 is the black plastic druganov type stock. I have seen that on a few already on the internet in pics. It might of came that way or it was a popular stock swap for the time. Im anxious to see what brand/country the akms is. Will know in a few days. Hopefully its a good one and I can make an offer for both.

An RPK forearm can be dremeled to fit, if you're suitably motivated.

eg; see last post, this thread https://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81973

Russian Wood is very easily adapted to the NMH 91. Just have to shape it a little to fit the front had gaurd retainer. Took me only a few sips of a beer and a dremel to do under 5 minutes:

That looks good on the nhm91, its got a fiberforce plastic stock on it now. The akms underfolder is all original but the lower handguard. I like the club foot stock

I did a quick search on RPK furniture and it seem like the golden days of suprlus RPK furniture have past. I got the whole set for $75 in 2002. I can't attest to the quality of this site, but these seems reasonable for $149.

This company has a set for $599 with no hardware I think they will be holding on to that set for a long time
