Seeking info on a couple barrels, M2?

I picked up a couple barrels at a recent show. I assume the one is a Belgian M1 or M2 (not sure if there is a difference). The other really doesn't have any markings on the barrels other than a serial number in an odd place. Both barrels seem like the same type, but I'm not sure who the manufacturer is. Possibly Argy or Belgian made for Argentine? Your assistance is appreciated.

Barrel one, Belgian (no gas block):

The first one has Belgian a proof mark, so Belgium seems a clear bet as to where it was manufactured. The second one seems to me to be an early Argy [little "tree" mark by the flats] type M2.

Love it, your first barrel has all the same breech mill marks as mine with the addition of the 1955 date.

Mine also has an H above the pineapple. But inspector H and S are interchangeable.

Barrel 2 is definitely Argentine, the serial number location and orientation near the lug is the giveaway.

Is the gas block on the Argy FN or Argy? What's different about the lug area? Looks the same as the Belgian one to me.

Nothing different about the lug. The location and orientation of the serial number make it argentine.
