The Grasshoppers Are Swarming Mad That You Are Prepared For The Crash

The Grasshoppers Are Swarming Mad That You Are Prepared For The Crash

Quote:
The grasshoppers are people that not only attacked preppers as “doom mongers” for years, not only refused to stock their own supplies during the coronavirus event, but they are also the same people that now are taking to social media to throw salt at preppers (ants) who now say “We told you so...”, and the grasshoppers want to make the ants pay by demanding their supplies be taken and redistributed.

How dare we call out the grasshoppers for their imprudence and their hypocrisy, right?

Does it help to say “I told you so”? Absolutely. Shaming people for making stupid decisions and for putting themselves and others at risk because of their stupid decisions is a hallmark of human survival that has been discouraged by the mainstream in the past decade. It needs to make a comeback.

The socialist grasshopper narrative is starting to pop up everywhere on the web these days, though I think it will not gain steam for another month when people finally realize the crisis is not going to be over anytime soon. The ants will be accused of being the bad guys, but we always knew this was a possibility, and we have prepared for that as well.
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitic...prepared-crash

BLACK BLADE: Indeed, we tried as hard as we could to warn the Grasshoppers to get ready during the good times and all we got for our trouble was ridicule and scorn. Now they want us to help them out. Sorry Charlie - Too bad - winter is here!!!

The human condition in America for the democrats is waiting for someone else to do the work. In every aspect of their lives they are lazy and have grown to never think ahead. Why should they think ahead when they can let others think for them.

Been seeing and hearing same thing here locally.

Several church ladies were complaining to my wife,, about folks that are well stocked up on everything,,demanding "sharing".

She just smiled and walked away. She got home,,told me about it,,,and we both smiled and had dinner.

Everyone,,anyone paying attention and not living in fantasy land,,should have seen the potential for disruption of everything and made plans,,did most,,oh hell no,,.

A month or so back,,,liberal lady,,4 kids,,liberal husband,,down the way from me,,,posting all over social media,,,don;t horde,,everything is perfectly fine.
Yesterday,,,they stopped by,,,asking if we had any toilet paper to spare.

I expect to see the plumber and septic tank pumper truck at their place in a week or ten days,,as they destroy their system with whatever, to wipe their asses.

This virus is not going to be the end of the world,,,,,,,,,but the resulting panic,,might just get a lot of people harmed or even killed.

I keep ,,,an AK loaded in the bedroom,we get an occasional rabid animal,,large mountain cat,,even a pissed off bear from time to time,,,but,,,got to admit,,,loaded up the AR's,,pulled in critical supplies from the out buildings,,,and am staying close to home.

Panic and people, combined,,are capable of anything.........

Went the grocery store today, Winco. Big place and it's showing signs or shortages now. They have a list posted of what they don't have and you can see for the first time a possible food shortage here. Not only was all the paper products gone and hand sanitizers but flour, sugar, noodles and the produce looked really bad.

Most of the pre packaged mexican spices excetra were cleaned out. While there wasn't a normal crowd, actually far less than normal the shelves were showing panic.

Well if it's reached that point you are on the short list of those 'who' have supplies.

I just realized I don't have any dill weed on the spice shelf. Sh!t.
Back to the store.

Oh, and BTW, maybe you guys have noticed that the grasshoppers are changing into Locusts around the world this year. Gonna/could happen here too, both figuratively and maybe actually.

One thing about this Chinese flu, looters seem to be afraid to go out and get some. If our neighbors think we are hoarders are they willing to risk the flu to come get some of our preps? No this is the perfect prepper moment when those who planned and stockpiled stand above the crowd.

Heck even the government won't come steal your stuff because it might be infected.

I'm thinking about Craigslist and some rookie bikers getting out of a 1200 sportster to break the monotony after all the whorehouses were shut down.

I got on the list with my first NFA purchase, didn't care about list then or now. 68 years is longer than I hoped to survive and every minute now is a gift from God. Unlike the Taliban that left great stockpiles when they were driven out of Afghanistan I suspect Americans will go like the folks in Waco did with nothing left but ashes and burnt metal.

Last night made sure had a bandoleer of mags pretty placed in every room of house for 5.56 and 6.8 ARS along with 1,000 round can of M855 on stripper clips with adapters. Also placed a can of 1,000 Lake City 7.62 M80 ball on strippers in every room so if fighting from room to room be hard to run slap out of ammo mid fight. Deadbolts are turned on every exterior door which are force rated entry and locked the ballistic liners in all windows. Normally leave the locks unlocked in case need to escape through a window. Working on my new ballistic shutters today.

Wife hs replaced most of her gun hides that had Colt Diamondbacks and Walther PK 380s with AR pistols or left the pistols and added an AR close by. She wants an AR in every room for now. Amazing me how people are out of toilet paper when Walmart and Kroger restock every night with two pack limit and every morning several hundred leave with their allotment. Had woman who answers phone at my CPAs mention down to last roll for her daughter and herself. Told her about Walmart and Kroger to which she replied didn't have time to stand in line and gt to work, her daughter 17 years old can't get out of bed that early now that not going to school. 17 year old girl won't go stand in line so her and mom have toilet paper? No sympathy.

Yep. It's not if, but when. I'm only late 30's, but if any of my comparatively meager preps are still around when I'm dead, they may help people in my family. At least G&A are a good hobby and investment. All you get out of drinking and chasing T&A, like many, is wasted $ and maybe an STD & a bad liver! Haha!.. Can't say much though, my other hobby is old amc muscle cars. Ha!

Huey is the most informed person on survival at this website, I never miss a post he puts up. Might take me three days to read it because his post are in volume form but he knows his survival.

It sure sounds like he's knowledgable.. We also have foreign and global threats, but nobody has had a democracy/ republic (as Mark Levin likes to point out) for this long without the usual cycle of govt happening. The worst is that it may just go slowly. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. We may be legislated out of freedom with a complacent public and political propaganda spread to the youth. The second ammendment is just an important part. First it's a restriction TO guns. Then it's a restriction to semi. Then bumpstocks and mag limits. The political elite whittle down a little at a time and make it socially acceptable "for the greater good". England is going after knifes! Haha.. I don't feel a need for f/a since, I don't have an old browning 1919 or m2hb and prefer 1s1k with a fal, but it should be a right, and the other amendments are getting eroded too. And many unconstitutional ex orders from both sides.. I wouldn't mind an mg34 though!.. Sorry, may be slightly off topic.

Anyway, back on track.. I've never seen that movie, but I have been thinking of the old fable or golden book story about the grasshopper and the ant. And I think there was one about an old hen with no one helping make the bread, that my grandparents used to read to me.. I haven't hoarded on anything. I was already out of TP, so I bought a large pack as usual. No hand sanitizer, but I had some bleach, peroxide, and alcohol already.. The grasshoppers are barely even to basics yet, and went crazy. I have stacks and stacks of fast food napkins that I saved to eventually vacuum pack my own "mre"s for that purpose and the usual purpose. I have a bunch of dehydrated basics in #10 cans that I got cheap awhile back. And I know enough about local edibles, that I can survive. Dandelions, squirrel or bigger, and maple seeds, can keep you in food for awhile. Thistle root is pretty good too. I'd like to learn more about wild edibles, and would share the info to try to help others that I know. A problem right before winter or late fall would be the worst. In this situation, so far, it seems like things will (probably) be okay as far as food supply. If not, , sorry grasshopper.

Walter Mitty is on my ignore, but after you quoted him, I get to see that his bullshit remains unabated.

Walter Mitty has many great fantasy adventures. Just remember that he makes it all up in his delusional head. I called him out for his bullshit years ago, but somehow we still have people believe his tripe.

Shhh.
I'm hoping to hear the story about finding his favorite cereal, Frosted Sugar Bomb Pops, or something, and how many he loaded up on.

Then there's the doozy about how popping baited wildlife from his back porch was very effective post-surgery therapy.

Have never baited any animal in my life. Squirrels trying to find ways to ingress the house chewing on the eaves of the house are fair game. Three died today as leaping back and forth from tree limbs overhanging roof and back. And don't say to trim all the trees, it's an impossible task even owning a bucket truck and industrial pole saws, etc. If coyote come on the property they die as well. I don't pick up squirrel unless inside fence and if that is baiting coyote well I am not walking down to edge of woods to pick up squirrel that fall in the brush.

Obviously your reading comprohension is off as I eat organic shredded wheat. There are several others that discuss and post photos of their expansive food supply more often than me. Mainly I discuss how to buy mid/long term grocery store food cheaply using in store sales and compounding store coupons and manufacturers coupons in conjunction with such sales then efficient storage and rotation of food by dates. Many people pay way too much for food in general, especially food they put back for emergencies. Have not had to stand in line or even consider the concept for toilet paper. Two trips in grocery store since third week of January to pick up items that keep the rotation stocked when a good sale on multiple items comes up and roll in at opening and out before most people even get moving.

Walter Mitty has many great fantasy adventures. Just remember that he makes it all up in his delusional head. I called him out for his bullshit years ago, but somehow we still have people believe his tripe.
Next time your in Atlanta area come visit and see what's true and isn't. Others on the board have of which none have said what they saw didn't match what I have said. Don't send a minion but show up & camera is even welcome at work.

GP is jealous because he has neither the time or the money to do what you do Huey, most folks here are too. Keep it up sir because you don't need their respect. As times get worse they will wish they had listened.

Good luck

Less concerned about him than he is with me. Notice I normally ignore him or reply politely. The past arguments we have had are of no benefit to the group. We both know the truth or our version of it. No worries, just extending an invitation to visit as have other Files members visiting the area. I usually pop for lunch as well.

Its fitting his comments come on the grasshopper thread, he is the grasshopper if you think about it. He is critical and demeaning about what you do just like the story goes. GP is the grasshopper.

You of couse go on building and working to improve all through your life while grasshoppers sit witH a "good enough " attitude. Really sir I have learned a lot from you and you put out far more information than the grasshoppers do. Thank you as your discussion on things are always welcome with me.

Edited to add, you see it often really. The guy that comes along and says "ahh you are full of crap" you look back on their past post and you find very little of use and nothing but arguments. Grasshoppers.

That's not the kind of list I was talking about, but whatever...

I must admit that I have somewhat of a smirk these days simply because I had attempted to influence several close acquaintances over the years to take preparedness a little more seriously. I was rebuffed with things like, "I'll worry about it if it happens" and, my personal favorite, "I'll just come to your house". They eventually stops socializing with us because they thought I was "too negative". I guess they have been playing the fiddle.

I have two metal farm gates... one at the hard surface road and another 220yds below the house. I have acquired "DANGER. QUARANTINE AREA" metal signs I'll affix to the gates should I feel its beneficial. If that don't dissuade interlopers I have other means as well.

Nothing says 'STAY AWAY' like a head on a pike...

Of course, you have to be somewhat judicious with/about timing...
