Canadian C2A1 ARS Build (kudos to mark)

It’s done.....ARS built Canadian C2A1. Every part pin spring and even Barrel is Canadian except for the Enterprise ANBI Receiver. Mark did a fantastic job replicating the “thumb Cut” on the receiver for the Stripper clip. Most parts are NOS. Had to pull some strings to get a real Canadian C2 barrel. 7th picture down you can see the maple leaf proof on barrel. This is the first C2 barrel I’ve ever seen. A blank check couldn’t find another C2 barrel and this is why I trust mark and ARS to do my builds. Enjoy the pictures.

Perfection is absolutely worth the wait and I’m sure that thumb cut is not easy to do. Mark also did My C1A1 8L.

How many years did it take to find all the parts?

It took me about 2 years to get the general parts except the barrel. Through my contacts I was continually upgrading until I had NOS. Please remember I have numerous contacts in canada I keep in contact with nearly weekly. The Canadian C2 barrel I was only able to obtain this past December and prior to that I have never seen another Canadian C2 Barrel.

Generally the hardest parts to find in difficulty order:
C2A1 Barrel
C2 carry handle (mint)
1-12 C2 gas regulator
C1/C2 Bolt
C2 Selector / change lever
C2 sight ears

Nice. It took me a little longer to acquire my C1 parts, NOS, but I got 'em.

A most beautiful build, would love to read a range report on how it shoots when you get a chance.
