Are you closed or open?

Anyone else had their work/shop closed?

We've just been shut down for at least 2 weeks.

Yay.

Our shop services some of the county leo cars and a couple ambulance company rigs. We may be able to remain open, see no reason at all to shut down. This ain't the black plague we're dealing with.

Small shop, only eight employees. We are still open, not sure if and when we'll be closed. Wife's work shut down for a week starting Monday, looking at the possibility of another week. There's an odd air of unsettling tension everywhere I go.

Me and 130 other guys just got sidelined. No excavator attachments for you. Got lots to do around the house though.

Biggest customer an auto plant shut down production for 2 weeks. People aren't buying new cars anyway.

Yes it could. Have sat in a number of planning meetings the last couple weeks. They are trying to determine at what staffing level they will have to lock the doors.

Commercial plumbing supply here. We are consider essential supply chain support so we are open. I'm part of the company support center staff and while last week, they put us on a two team footing where only half of us are in the support center at any time and the others work remote. I think we're going to go wholly remote this week.

Me, I cleared my desk out complete on Friday and took a whole tote full of office supplies home. I will be working from home for the foreseeable future.

Essential industry here too. Retired. Been casting boolits in the garage while voluntarily self-isolating. Went up to the local Slowe's today for some wood for a little project in the reloading room. Holy shit, it is a banner day at the big box stores around here. Checker said it's been a madhouse. Said with everyone staying home, da wimmins are all giving their men projects to do. Prolly ones they have put off for eons.

Let's just hope that the honey-do lists/projects requiring scurrying around out in public don't just end up leaving a nice new completed project for the new owners...

Priorities, after all...

Somebody has to feed and water the chickens, but the firewood production for next season has been taking most of my time. Only coworkers at Mrs.ss's job, no public allowed on the premises until further notice.~ss

Our gun repair shop is still open but nothing left to sell, all guns and ammo gone...

Of course, since there are over 12000 backgrounds in queue with the CO Instacheck system and 'claimed' times are running nearly 4 days, who knows...

I'm guessing that the FBI will declare that they need to stop the NCIC checks (which the CO system relies on, of course, as do all others) for the safety of their workers. Just guessing...

I'm closed to walk in business by state order, but still doing GB and shipping. Not sure if PICS will be open or not. If NICS shuts down, or if more states do a complete shutdown, that could put a damper on the GB sales. Had a decent night tonight.

Open, in a company that has 180 employees.

But starting tonight I will be working alone on an odd shift, at least until we also close.

I'll bet you are sadly correct on this. I have my last surplus M17 inbound but the NCIC check is what i'm afraid will snag the deal up.

Municipal gubmint/ building inspector here. Town hall closed to the public since last week. Construction is being considered an essential business. Projects aren’t stopping. Me and my staff are still working.

My company is working from home now. Our field guys can still do what they do for the time being, but us office types are doing the short commute. We're getting by, but it's definitely not as efficient. We're using teleconferencing to do internal meetings as well as connect with clients. The good news is I'm keeping busy and the days go by faster that sitting in the office.

However, both my teenage boys' schools closed on the 13th and will stay that way till May 1. Don't know if I'm going to survive 5 or 6 more weeks of this shit.

The good news is I bought another gun today! So there is always a silver lining!

Finally, there is still some good in the world. My wife went to the store to pick up a few things and was staring at the empty pallet that used to be a pile of toilet paper. Some other guy came by and told her that she just missed it, and he had snagged the last rolls. No worries. Anyway, as she was going through checkout, she heard the register lady holler at the guy as he was walking out of the store that he had forgot something. He hollered back that he had left THIS for my wife:

Never look a gift horse in the ass! She will pay it forward!

By the way, in all fairness I should mention that the City of Denver is a relatively small part of the Denver Metroplex. I have no idea if any of the rest of the 'city' is affected by the bozo mayor.

But I'm sure it'll spread quickly. He's not the only leftist bozo in the State...

Well the earthquake shut my building down faster than the COVID-19 has. I got farmed out to work on the Airbus A350. But I feel like by the end of the week we will be shut down. The 100K building I was in today only had about 4 gallons of isopropyl alcohol which in needed to clean everything used to make the parts.

International Medical Device Co. Here. 10% of USA staff allowed to work on site across several states, everyone else working from home. Japan group is completely shut down. French team is telecommuting but can't really do the work. I have no idea what the software team in India is up to, but I'm not convinced they actually do anything under normal conditions. We have a group in China but I never work with them and have no info.

I haven't seen a single "it is with great sadness" email about a fallen colleague. There are about 12k of us.

Still open, considered essential. Defense radar and communications is a big reason why.

Some are working from home. Some like me are hands on and have to risk being infected by coming to work. Not a fair situation. I'm pushing HR for extra compensation for those of us being required to risk infection. Wish me luck.

I do IT work for a rather large healthcare provider. We are definitely open for business. Some projects have been postponed/shutdown (mostly construction related). Projects with infrastructure already in place are still a go. Systems support work is still considered critical.

I develop , build and sustain maintenance tracking programs for the jets that a luxury biz jet manufacturer builds in Savannah, GA.

We have been practicing and performing emergency biz scenarios at remote locations for hurricanes for years. So merging into this effed up situation and working from home was "normal".

...for now.

I pray for us all (even the dems).

I'm guessing that the FBI will declare that they need to stop the NCIC checks (which the CO system relies on, of course, as do all others) for the safety of their workers. Just guessing...

I saw this message posted on the FBI / NICS homepage:

https://www.nicsezcheckfbi.gov/

ATTENTION
As the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Section works through the impact of the COVID-19 operationally, we are working to maintain our services. We are aware that states may be considering options to protect the health and safety of their employees, which may include a reduction in office availability or even closure to some offices.

Should a state choose to limit days of operation by completely closing state offices one or more days a week or even indefinitely, this could potentially impact the Brady Transfer Date (BTD) by changing the time in which an FFL can legally transfer a firearm in a delayed status. The NICS Section urges FFLs to be cognizant of the impact this may have to your day-to-day operations, and also to stress the importance of adhering to the BTD that is provided to you at the time a transaction is put into a Delay status. The Brady Act does not federally prohibit an FFL from transferring a firearm after the third business day expires, even if the NICS Section has been unable to provide a proceed response, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 922(t)(1).

We appreciate your patience and partnership during this critical time and potential impact to NICS operations.

We got the word from our CEO yesterday that we are designated Critical Infrastructure so we will not be shutting down at all. Must be our support for the creation of peptides used in drug development etc.

We were even issued our personal travel "papers" just in case we are out and about and get stopped by the authorities.

"Identity papers please!!"

Little farm so I'm good to come and go. Plus there is not a hard core lockdown (Wuhan style) yet in NM. I had to run to Walmart to get a new battery for my tractor this morning. The auto dept was closed for tires and oil changes which I would have considered as essential but I wasn't consulted. Got my battery and got out.

Working as usual. The governor put out his list of essential businesses and pawn shops were on it, so no time off here.

Today Idaho started a 21 day statewide partial lockdown.
We are essential service (financial) but our office is door locked and entry by appointment only.

As an interesting note: Firearms businesses are specified as "essential"

Colorado is shut down at 6AM on 26MAR2020 for about two weeks (extendable, of course).

Firearms stores are also among the exempted retail establishments as essential...
