Awllrighty then, the weather switch has flipped! Last week, Saturday morning, I was scraping frost off the wind shield. This week, Saturday morn's temp had doubled, over last week's... So, 80* plus for day-time highs, this week. It fluctuates down to 69*, for a daytime high, but mostly 80*'s. Summer might come right on schedule, this year?

For The (Ahem!) Committee and Everyone...

Two Topics:

1. Cost to cover the Blue Throne and paint, paper, hardware, and various repairs

2. Steel for Terry's events

Regarding cost, I suggest we could be more "accurate" and ask for $7 for each person for the crapper (20 people x $7 = $140), and $10 x every shooter for supplies, repair expense, etc., or we could just ask everyone to bring a $20 bill. I don't care either way.

Regarding steel we need: may not have 'stands' anymore. I think I left them in Washington. Terry is adamant (for good reason) that we have falling targets on some of the stuff for Dos Equis (The Most Interesting Match in the World). So regarding that match...

* I definitely have 8x13s on tire sections that can be screwed to the 4x4 frame

* I also have enough poppers to cover the TR Handgun event (4) + Terry's event (3). That way we don't have to steal targets from Rich or Otis.

* I also have the plates (8x13).

If Rich has some stands, we're good. If he doesn't, I'll get Greg on the welding job this week some time. Need to know about stands.

GIANT FREAKING ANNOUNCEMENT

I hereby announce my interest in covering all cash bets on whether or not my van arrives (with me in it + steel + guns + tent + food) at the shoot location BEFORE 0800 Friday morning.

I'll be there for the Shooters' Safety Meeting, or I'll be damned.

All you smarty-pants who keep saying I'm gonna be late, put your worthless green toilet-paper-like FRNs where your mouths are.

I'm not giving odds, though. It's risky enough already.

Ya'll be safe and have fun. I would say I'll be thinking of you, but I'm gonna drive over and shoot the PA match this weekend. I will look forward to hearing a few stories and seeing some pix from my OR friends!

The PA guys said I could bring my wife AND/OR my girlfriend

Right? Packing for 3 weeks and seeing the best friends a guy could have
is real tough to miss.

Next year. But fall and spring shoots are a go.

The water was in a black barrel so the water didn't even need heating.

To all that attended, and especially those that put so much effort into the events, I want to say THANKS !.

I greatly enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces, as well as smiling new faces.

Those that could not attend were definitely missed.

I am humbled to be part of this.

Hey everyone - we had a smashing time this weekend. Thanks to everyone that came and participated. A special thank you to everyone who came to the Shlomo Memorial - that made a big impact with Julie (Mike's wife), and she was really grateful for the effort.

Super good to see you all. Sorry to miss Saturday night, but we had a good excuse.

For those of you that didn't make it, I hope you're able to be here next year. See you all in Washington.

Or if during periods of mass arrests people had simply not sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, ham- mers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. . . . Super good to see you all. Sorry to miss Saturday night, but we had a good excuse.

Thanks

Only my second time to the Oregon shoot and already feels like home. You guys are great, make people feel welcome, have fun, share and one of the few places feel safe around a bunch of gun nuts. Great big thanks for Elkaholic for providing a bunch of stuff for me.
Great to see all of you and am ready for the next one, well in a couple days anyway.
