Palmetto reciver question

I bought one of those special markings receivers by Palmetto. It is marked "US GOVERNMENT PROPERTY M16A1" since I have a parts gun A2 that I assembled on a PWA receiver right after Clinton left office I thought it be a cool idea to change the receiver with my newly acquired Palmetto. Thinking about it now, since it is marked M16A1 will I be violating any laws if I assemble it on my old parts even though its not a true M16? Your comments are welcomed.

No violation. It's not a true M16 regardless of what PSA marks it.

jam762 you are correct, it is A2. I also picked up one marked "Government Property M4".
