Why 6.5CM? I bought a couple because:

1. Factory 'match' loadings were subsidized by Hornady when it all started. I was buying factory match ammo with expensive, high-BC bullets for $10/box when FCC GMM was $22/box.

2. lower recoil. I'm not afraid of it, but I had a 12 year old son at the time, and four daughters + a wife. Turns out Jonathan's 17 now and it doesn't matter, but it's easy to shoot.

3. high BC bullets and useful loads fitting in AR-10 mag well

Don't need more reasons than those. If I had to do it over again, I too, like the others above, would have bought Savage guns and spent more money on glass.

Or copy the 280 British and rename it with something with Eagles soaring in the sky magnificently screaming with falcon sounds, and angry pit bulls.

Why a 6.5 bolt gun? Because this, 5 round load development check at 100 yds. The damn things just shoot.

Kind of a hamstrung round for a bolt gun, not too bad for full auto.

Nice!

What bullet, load, and how does it shoot at distance?
