S&W 45 ACP

I happened to get lucky & was able to purchase this little gem yesterday.

S&W 3" model 625-3 in 45 ACP.

Sweet, loves me some big-bore snubby. I have an old S&W 1917 that some very skilled gunsmith did a really nice job of shortening long ago. I have never measured the barrel and am curious now. Over 20 years go I saw it at a pawn shop and told a buddy about it. He went and bought it for around a $150 as I recall. Many years later he offered it to me for the same money and I bought it. That old gat is smooth as silk. Love the grips on yours, enjoy.

I remember when they first came out, a local shop had a 3, 4, and a 5 inch. I wish I had bought one of each. Instead, I bought a 4 inch and later changed it to a 5

I love those guns. My favorite N Frame snubby. And with moon clips the reloads are fast.

That is a beautiful revolver.
You have great taste in handguns!
Thanks for the pic.

Came close to buying one of those as a companion piece to my 1911s. Ended up getting a 610 instead as a playmate for my 10mm pistols. Should have gotten one of each.

Dayum. Really nice gat you bought!

Oh man. Very nice. I had one with a 5" barrel (model of 1989 marked) and sold it.

I have one of the 1000 Model 625-2's marked Model of 1988. A five incher of course.

I prefer to use the .45 Auto Rim case with my handloads. I load the 230 grain FMJ to an honest 850 fps per my chronograph. A nice non magnum load that is easy on the 625.

I am still angry with myself for not buying a three incher when it was offered to me.....

And so it goes.

S&W .45

Well, I hate you.

Just kidding. I have owned all three barrel lengths. Currently just have the 4", but casting eyes at every 3" I see.

Good catch.

That is a sweet revolver. And a bonus w/o the goofy internal lock.
