fast-foreward ten to twenty plus years, a squad of 15 foot tall super soldiers fully outfitted w/ modern gear and very well trained ........

see my point yet ?

imagine half the squad w/ M134's strapped to a forearm and the other half w/ M2's strapped to a forearm

and how old was this said giant ?
50, 100, 200, 500 years old ????
how capable of intellect / cognitive thought is he ?
or does he always revert to baser instincts ??
could you squeeze a squad of them into a C-130 for fast deployment ?

so many unknowns that need to be factored into just the idea of growing/building giant super soldiers

Doesn't matter if Snopes is for real or not. Does anyone who has ever had any experience in the military, actually believe they would admit to this account if it was true? Our military has a long history of denying events, attacks, mistakes, etc...having ever taken place.

Well, that is sure true enough. But really, the giant story is just too vague and lacking in any meaningful details to take seriously. Maybe it was just another ol' Yeti.

I read a lot about the Kandahar Giant and have seen most/all the videos. It looks like a fake story. Not a well done fake but a few people put a lot into it. It's really too bad the guys that concocted this story didn't run it past a control group of close friends. They could have cleaned up some of the dialog and made it more believable.

Maybe 'believable' isn't the right word, they could have made the story more 'plausible'. That's all you really need to do, provide just enough to tip the scales into the realm of 'it could have happened but we some kind of physical evidence'.
The evidence part could easily be covered by a story of 'a Marine took some photos and we're trying to get them'

.gov always has plausible deniability covered .....

but you are right that the story could be more plausible,

I just really want to know if the giant is real ..... I can easily figure the weird shit the .gov would do w/ one

A bit of correction is in order here. It was Mike Minihan's story of his and his son's encounter. I merely brought it up. It is an amazing account and still gives me chills to read.

NEW DELHI: Indian Army on Tuesday claimed that one of its teams spotted mysterious footprints of mythical creature "Yeti" close to Nepal's Makalu Base Camp.
During an expedition, the Mountaineering Expedition team came across mysterious marks measuring 32X15 inches, which the Army believed are of the mythical beast Yeti.

The Yeti sightings have been determined to be misidentified bear sightings.

On a good note, the Nepal Brown bear that's been thought to be extinct for 40 years is still alive.

Also, the DNA results from scat have revealed a bear thought to be extinct 10s of 1,000s of years is still alive. It's some kind of primitive Polar bear.

Brad Ginn and Madelyn Durand, a couple of Western Kentucky University students, said they were awakened in the middle of the night last weekend during a camping trip to Mammoth Cave by a gun-toting man hellbent on tracking down the legendary creature.

"It was scary to know there was a man out there shooting a gun at nothing," Durand told the Courier Journal on Wednesday of the couple's weekend adventure in the woods.

Bigfoot sightings have been reported hundreds of times across Kentucky since the time of Daniel Boone. What makes Durand and Ginn's story so unforgettable, though, is the randomness of their tale. Neither says they actually saw Bigfoot — and they weren't looking, either.

The couple had been sleeping in a tent early Sunday morning when Durand, 22, woke up Ginn, 24, to tell him that a man and his young son were approaching. When they got to the tent, the man said that his own campsite and tent had been destroyed and that they were in "Bigfoot country."

I wonder how the number of big foot sightings corresponds with the level of drug/alcohol (peyote, moonshine, meth ect…) abuse in "X" region. Hmmm...

Throw in a handful of pranksters and mommy's basement dwellers, and we now have enough material to create a cheesy internet television show!

I knew an engineer who saw a bigfoot near lat 36.5955 long -109.5512 just north of round rock, az. He saw it along with most of the crew building a new bridge at that location. He said it came down from the high grounds, cross the new road, and disappear into the desert. He said it was very tall and black and towered over some horses nearby. Broad daylight. He did not like to talk about it because Navajos have a superstition about these things. He was a very modest and steady person and not somebody prone to wild stories. Are usually think most people telling the stores are full of crap but I knew this guy several years and he was not bullshitting me.

Spinoff from a Robin Sage article

Quote:
The haunting case of a 77-year-old school teacher mauled to death by an unknown animal in coastal North Carolina is being taken nationwide in the search for answers.

It’s been six months since Brenda Hamilton was attacked while walking her dogs in Beaufort County, and deputies have yet to figure out what exactly is to blame for her killing.

Deputies have speculated it could have been a coyote, wolves or even wild dogs, but DNA evidence has concluded only that the attacker was canine in nature, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

Folks 'round these parts had an old saying whenever someone was unaccounted for; "went to shit and the hogs ate him." Lot's of truth to that old sayin' I'd think.

I work for the biggest timber company in the US. We also control millions of acres in Canada. Many of the people I work with spend most of their careers in the woods. Some are multigenerational timber people.

There is no bigfoot.

Exactly what big timber wants you to think...

It’s funny when timber industry folks talk about Bigfoot, here in Washington/Oregon you get two stories. First is that you have families that have worked lived and hunted the woods since before Daniel Boone was a foal, and no one has seen anything. Second, that it’s no big news, families doing the same for the same amount of time have always seen them.

Lots of loggers and log truck drivers around here with some entertaining Bigfoot yarns.

Angry

Went up for hunt this fall in October unit 51 Idaho, it was snowing that week and I was up a dead end river valley at about 8,500 feet. Got out early and around 12 decided to hike the three miles back to the truck. I started up a game trail over a snow bank and came across tracks. Not sure how to post pictures but I took a few. I suspect bear but I have never seen bear leave tracks like these. I wear a size 11 boot and these prints were 2 inches longer than my boot print. They were also fresh, which didn't make me happy, bear or what ever that far back and that time of year I wasn't looking to run into anything other than a big mule buck. Not saying they are big foot prints, but they are prints of a big human looking foot. My guess is they are bear.

The video out of Salt Fork State Park drew thousands of clicks, and probably just as many clucks.

The YouTuber called it “Salt Fork Ohio Grassman,” and he pitched it as legitimate footage of a Bigfoot spotted in Ohio’s largest state park.

Watch the full 10 minutes, and an alternate title comes to mind: “Dude in black Carhartt monkeys around with pals in Ohio woods.”

The video was picked up by a variety of news outlets, including Dispatch.com, and had 270,000 views on YouTube as of Wednesday afternoon. The comments have piled up. Not all reviews are favorable.

“Looks like he has the same gait as an old man walking out of a deli,” one cynic observed.

“My Bigfoot sighting came at a Grateful Dead show at Buckeye Lake,” wrote another. “We miss you Jerry.”
