Do Imbel FAL firing pins use proprietary FP srpings

Recently I miss placed a firing pin spring for an Imbel FAL. I bought a replacement online but it was too tight to fit. Having been unable to find similar reports I began searching for images of various firing pin springs. I noticed that nearly all metric springs appear to consist of 27-29 coils, and every picture I could find of a 2 piece spring had only 18 coils; mine had 24. I called customer service and was sent a new spring but it fits the same and also only has 24 coils. The spring is too small in diameter I think, because it will not fit completely onto the FP; it stops about a couple cm away from the first shoulder, preventing the second shoulder from allowing the locking pin by about 2 cm as well. Is it possible that the firing pin is warped around the base of the needle, or is it abnormal for the FP spring to be very tight and vary dramatically in length?

Thank you

There is only one size of FAL firing pin spring. It is the same for a 1 piece FP and a 2 piece firing pin.

There are variations in manufacture based on open or closed coil design.

L1A1 firing pin spring is different and does not interchange.

It has several interchangeable versions.

I don't know what "customer service" you called, as IMBEL is in Brazil
